Avatar was corny, am I the only who feels this way?

i know a lot of people that have seen it..they all liked it saying it's one of the best movies of the year..i still haven't seen it..and prob wonteither..

Other than the fact the graphics and technology were first rate, everything about the movie seems rehashed from other sci-fi/war/action films from the last 2decades.

By waiting so long for the technology to catch up with his vision, Cameron sacrificed the story being told by so many other movies in the time period.
