How is Amare more of an MVP than rose? His team is 6 games back from the bulls and he's had as much help if not more than Rose, given that Boozer and Noah have been out for an extended period of time.Originally Posted by Rolaholic
Even though he's one of my fav players in the league I'd have Dirk,Amare and Bron ahead of D-Rose
Dirk was probably the leading candidate before he got injured and the Mavs fell back to down to earth. His team is stacked and yet the bulls currently have a better record.
Bron always has a case for MVP as he's the best player on the planet bar none, but Wade has been pretty incredible this year as well so he hasn't even been the clear-cut MVP on his own squad.

History is not on their side. This is the first time anybody has ever considered either player as MVP candidates. To be a legit MVP candidate you gotta be consistantly great for at least 1 or 2 seasons. It's not even clear if they are the best players at their positions.
And in my personal opinion the fact that key players on Rose's team are injured actually hurts his chances. Look at the makeup of his team. Who can make plays besides him? LeBron, Dirk, and Dwight Howard are clearly the best players on their perspective teams surrounded by players that can actually score points and make plays.
I have LeBron, Dirk, and Howard as my top 3. D. Rose would be a better candidate next season if he could actually keep up this type of play.
See Steve Nash..

I already mentioned Steve Nash. Find me another player since 1980 to win the MVP out of the blue. The 04-05 Nash is the only example. Which is why Rose's chances are slim.
