Handled these myself yesterday, and in my honest opinion the "leather" used on them is probably the worst material yet used on a Jordan.

I've heard and read multiple people say that the leather is good and better than the 2007s, and now I realize those people have obviously never felt leather before other than the plastic "leather" that's on the newer retros. Paint job was decent, but the red is a bit different than the color of the 07's

They're pretty awful.

Yeah that chicago retro was the worst thing ever, up there with the cement 4's from last year.

That was not leather, both were literally plastic.

I haven't kept up on the thread of late, but just talked to 2 of my local spots and they are getting about 4-Times more of this shoe than they typically get (in GR JB launches). Shouldn't be too difficult to pick up this shoe on RD, as production numbers seem to be pretty high. Good luck to those copping for wears

I just scooped these from my local Mom &. Pop and a few things I have noticed:

1. Leather is extremely soft, maybe too soft actually
2. The fire red paint on the midsole seems more durable to stress than the 2006 pair.
3. To me, these also seem cut more closely to the 88's than other recent 3's

All in all I'm def happy with this release, but i tell you now, if you don't like creases, better pony up for sneaker shields, because that leather is sooooft I'm telling you...BTW as of right now, these go harder than those "Katrina" 3's everyone is so hyped about
