This has always been run of the mill, mass produced consumer crap. It’s tough for a lot of dudes to accept that cause it means your standards are low. And they are.
GD, you didn't have to go that hard.

No not at all. I’ve never been upset about a release including this release and I’ve been buying Jordan’s for 30 years. Just pointed out that it’s obvious that they slacked off on this release with quality. Idc about elephant print or shape or any of that other **** y’all being crying about on here. These just feel cheaply made. This is the first time I’ve ever felt that way. Idc about the money whatsoever, $220 is nothing to me. I wear shoes once or twice and on to the next pair. I’ll forget about these by New Years.ADVERTISEMENT
Were you this upset when Nike charged $200 in 2018 for the Jordan 3 Steel Toes?

I gotta keep these. Not sure I'll get a better looking pair on Sat...
I wear a 10.ADVERTISEMENTMy guy, what size are all those unloved shoes?
Think just New Balance and Saucony. As well as Diadora. How many of these other brands have you bought from? If you do you know what I'm saying.
I'm sure the average sneaker consumer isn't too pressed about quality control and craftsmanship. I think pricing plays a big factor plus overall trends in general.A product worth $230.
But Nike is going to Nike. Main reason retro's aren't coveted like they used to be, because the average sneaker consumer has now been exposed to better for less.
there is a reason people are paying the outrageous price for the shoe. it's iconic.
Its a lot deeper than that if you were to ask me.people pay for nostalgia.
They didn’t “phone it in” on these though. That’s your unreasonable and irrational opinion. They (JB/Nike) did make a decently good attempt and put some effort into these to make these closer to the OG and if nothing else, miles better than the last retro. What more are you asking for or expecting in general? We should all know pairs are going to vary with the leather cut/grain and EP, and some will look better than others but that’s the nature of the production process with AJ3s. Been that way since the OG and early retros. No one pair is going to be the same as the next. I’m not saying they’re perfect either, but you can’t say they’re phoning it in on these when we’ve seen what previous releases ended up looking like starting with the 2018s. Just keep it a buck and admit that you’re a super hard critic that just can’t be satisfied in most cases lol. Also it's not like NIKE CAN'T make these retro's quality.
Look at the ATC 2 retro. They pick and choose when they want to put effort in and on shoes like these that they know will sell regardless they phone it in.
Because it will sell regardless.
mine came in the worst box packaging I have ever seen
Box was huge as hell for just one pair and not only there was no filler to protect it, a piece of the top was cracked so anyone could’ve looked in and grab it.
Thankfully, the shoes were okay.
Anyone ever run into this with nike before?

Ex-amazon employee packed your ****
Then you know what I mean about what those other smaller brands do without the massive power that Nike has.
