AIR JORDAN 3 BLACK CEMENT - NOVEMBER 23, 2024

What are y'all honestly expecting?

While I didn't say I expected anything else from them looking at it realistically for $220? Brands like Asics, Saucony, Karhu, New Balance, Thursday, Diadora, etc. have materials like genuine suede, pig suede, nice chrome tan leather, vachetta. Smaller companies without the massive buying power of Nike can get quality materials, while in many cases being under Jordan prices, so at wholesale Nike could do it too.

How many of these other brands have you bought from? If you do you know what I'm saying.

will deez be an ez cop? :pimp:

Anecdotal: Talked to two of my reseller students this morning in two different classes. Both in multiple cook groups. Both said none of their cook groups are even looking at these since they already basically going for retail+fees on Stock X and the pics of defects are dampening the enthusiasm. They’re “bricks” as the kids say

These will be as easy and plentiful as Military Blue 4s or Fire Red 3s.

These won’t sit, but I say all that to say your only competition this weekend is other old heads and people looking for multiples to mix and match. Everybody should be able to eat if not get multiples to mix

yes there are better quality kicks for 220. but I don't think NB is moving 1 million pairs of $220 990's in a day. there is a reason people are paying the outrageous price for the shoe. it's iconic.

So if a shoe is iconic we no longer have to expect a quality product because it's iconic and we should be grateful to get it? That's wild. Losing the plot to say the least.

Imma mix and match to get my 1 pair that looks the way I want. I'm team WC3 and Sail midsoles >>> anyways so these are second fiddle to me.
Honestly now I'm debating on if I need to keep the reimagined Bred IV's now.

Any fit I'd wear with those, I can wear with these.

they are overpriced but yet you are buying a pair.
Sounds about right

Damn. Just got my shock drop pair delivered. I think these are nice in hand, but damn the tongue sits sooooo low you almost can’t see it.

Might return and try another pair.

A product worth $230.

But Nike is going to Nike. Main reason retro's aren't coveted like they used to be, because the average sneaker consumer has now been exposed to better for less.
The product has never been worth the price tag. Wasn’t worth it when I was buying OGs either. Not expecting some 20 something to get it but the quality control was way worse in the 90’s than it is today.

This has always been run of the mill, mass produced consumer crap. It’s tough for a lot of dudes to accept that cause it means your standards are low. And they are.

That's just Business 101. Sell for the highest price you think you can get while having the lowest cost. They know it, and they know they have the pull to sell things at that price. I have no problem with them and how they do their business, but some people think that's the only way a company can do things. They could spend more money on materials or getting details right, they don't because they will sell the same amount of shoes while eating into their profits. I guess the whole point of this is let's recognize things for what they are.

This is 100% true. The point is that Nike can get a premium price on lesser quality sneakers that other brands simply cannot command. If consumers move more towards these other brands and Nike loses material market share (and profits), Nike will have some new "remastered/reimagined/re-something" where they release retros with actually good quality materials, and we'll all replace our collections with these premium versions. Until then, they'll squeeze profits for as long as they can.
