AIR JORDAN 3 BLACK CEMENT - NOVEMBER 23, 2024

Damn bruh had me fooled :lol

If only JB could make these 2024's look like that, they'd be damn near perfect to me.

For whatever reason, JB hates making J's with linear, flat, straight bottoms. Makes all the difference in the overall look. :smh:

The bottoms of these 24's have the slight banana shape from heel to toe. :ohwell:

Looks like 2024 BC3s has the same almost non tumbled leather as the OG 88s

Just received mine yesterday. No complaints at all, was thinking of doubling up. But I'll just beat up my 2018's for now and wear the new pair next year summer time.

You’re being unrealistic and unfair to a billion dollar company to expect them to release a $230 shoe with matching tongues.

Be grateful!
Yea cause everyone’s pair has mismatch tongues I’m sure. Bro complain away, have at it. No one here is stopping you. In fact I was you in 2018 lol. I hear you complaining about the price but flagship retro Js (especially around the holidays) have been $200-$220(+tax) for really almost a decade now with much worse quality and materials on those pairs too, but what do I know. I hope Nike reads your complaints and makes even more improvements on the pair that comes out in 2033.

Actually, my tongue height isn't to bad... They fit a bit looser then the 10.5m I got in these off noirs, but overall they fit and feel great right out the box. I may double up after all if I can score another clean pair like this shock drop pair.
Off noirs been my beaters but they have a bit more padding and more comfortable with that. I tripled on those when I caught em on sale for 160 no regrets.

Nah, both those tongues are way too high and don't look good IMO. I get that's what people have gotten used to on 3's for the past couple decades....but..... :ohwell:

Makes them look so big, and bulky. Similar to what H headdetective said....it's an element of making them look like an SB. Jordan 3's used to be so sleek before retros.

The Georgia peach was another really well executed show minus the Nike ar in the back. I've worn them a decent amount of times and the shape and material has held up nice, even did a weekend in Vegas, pool parties etc, still looking brand new.

Meh, they def don't feel big and maybe just how I have my feet tilted to the side. They look good on feet. Atleast to me. Lol

First people complaining the tongue to short. Now the tongue to big.....WTF, bipolar as page we got going 😂 just coo if you like or don't. I love me some 3s, can rock em all day, so comfortable. That's all that matters to me.

Maybe I'm just passed hyper focusing on this ****.. I put em they feel good I keep em, that's how I feel about my shoes nowadays. This ain't the 90s where I get that super nostalgic feeling anymore.

My point was simply contrasting that you prefer taller tongues on 3's. Or at least from your post that's what it seemed.

You have an outlier pair of 2024's where the tongue looks like typical retro 3's we've gotten over the past decades.

My pair of 2024's have very short tongues, and it's great! :D :D

Speaking of tongues, this young buck actually thinks OGs had better QC and it’s realistic to expect more… 35 years later 🤣

Tongues don’t match on this 1988 pair which was quite common.

I meant purchasing power, as in getting raw materials for cheaper on wholesale because of their massive order numbers.
Nike went to synthetics long ago to cut costs. One thing no one mentions is that even though there’s high quality materials on stuff from NB, Saucony, etc… true high grain full hide leather has become less and less prominent in sneakers, especially basketball shoes.

It’s not sustainable and becomes less sustainable to source every year. And economically the cost to source enough full hide leather for an entire run of hundreds of thousands of shoes is almost impossible. Even with NB you rarely find a full hide leather predominant shoe made in GR numbers.
