But just keep shelling out the facts, because once you get on that slick *%## your following begins to crumble, believe it or not. 

I dont think that anything went wrong w/ our civilization.  They might have just planted us here to study us from abroad.  The relationship (if any) can have a multitude of reasoning behind forming.

I know this is stupid, but did you watch the south park episode where the aliens visited and wanted to the include Earth in their federation or whatever, but they decided not to because of how greedy everyone on Earth was?  Sounds stupid, but IF they did help our society then maybe greed is what stopped them from further helping us?

PS.. The universe is about 13.7 billion years old. And the new James Webb Space Telescope will allow us to see 13.4 billion years back. Aka to when the first planets were being formed. It will break entirely new ground. Launch keeps getting pushed back though because we always take giant budget cuts lol.
