on second sight its not that bad the toe is definately suspect but the rest of the upper seems synthetic and spit leather. much softer than the rest of the vi retros.

the toe is hard plastic feeling but nothing as terrible as the sport blue or white infrared

That’s exactly my point. Leather needs these things to actually last, wereas synthetic doesn’t. I’m a fan of leather, I take care of it, coats, wallets, belts and all. But that’s not the norm, we are the 1% that make up Nike sales.

My cardinal 7s from 06 are synthetic and still hold up okay. No cracking. The Black Durabuck is done tho

Man I loved the 06 Cards! Had those for like 3 days then had to return them for some reason or another. I really was under the impression that those were genuine leather, at least in the tumbled areas. Not the first time I been wrong haha

Most of the shoe is synthetic, many retro retros are including a ton of OGs. I was surprised when I found out too.

Tell ya what man those 06 were light years ahead of the 2011 or whenever release. Those were shiny AF.

I’ve got 1992 cardinals totally wearable and I have zero idea how the glue at least hasn’t cracked. Apparently dude who owned them before me knew the secret of storage lol

That Fineline video is incredible. The way he started losing it toward the end was literally my same reaction the more I was staring out them. I’m legit ready to order a pair from Fineline right now
