it's really easy to say what you would do if you had that kind of money, when you've never experienced everything else that comes with it. you see some of these broads? i'd bury my meat so far in some of em, whoever could pull me out would be crowned king arthur. you see some of the places these guys live, with the amenities they have? real easy to say you wouldn't splurge on it, because it's never been an option for most of us.

i learned from a young god. no shame on my end whatsoever. i could only aspire to be that swaggy.

It's a shame that these guys run through millions but I'll never consider them real people broke. These ones who blow through all their money aren't getting thrown in jail for not paying taxes or child support, that's really broke. The broke ones will file bankruptcy, then make a middle class income doing some bs job like coaching aau or signing autographs in a memorabilia shop. No sympathy for me

Right, wrong, indifferent, it don't matter.

People abuse money. Is what it is. When Lamar got together with his wife, she was astonished to hear he was paying literally 20+ cell phone bills for various hanger ons. It may not be smart on his end, but when you have dozens of family members come out the woodwork lookin for some help, and you makin money like that, you think of it as an easy thing to help with.

Then reality kicks in, and next thing ya know, your career is almost over, and you don't have as much money as you expected to have.

Not to even mention some of the guys out there that have 6-7-8-9 kids with various women, child support, and they don't pay child support like you or I would, they pay out the damn nose. MEGA money for those kids.

Add that all up, and you get a lot of athletes living "well", but also living on credit, worth, future earnings, and when that well runs dry, like during a lockout, they are tapped, quick.

It's easy to say we could do it better, or handle it better, but think how many times you might have loaned a family member 20 bucks, or picked up a tab for them. Now imagine that when it's 100 family members, and those tabs aren't at Appelbee's or some ****, but some fancy restaurant in NY, or LA and instead of 20 bucks, they need car money, or cell phone, or the heat turned on, etc. Gets harder to say no now, don't it? And when you say yes, it's a lot more expensive than that 20 bucks, or a taco bell run for the fam.
ala allen iverson...... hell whats funny the average american lives outside of their means...and have more liabilities then assets... Their only saving gace is lack of income to which leads to/means less of a credit extension/credit limit....

Trust not even including having millions of dollars etc.... if the average american could have the credit limit/line of credit, resources and accessibility that these athletes/entertainers etc... have they would be in the same situation (even tho most are just on a smaller scale) or even worse.

So Wade and Bosh re-up with Miami today. Four year contract for Wade. Five year contract for Bosh.

Pretty commendable of Wade to take such a steep paycut.

also, you gotta realize some of these parents and family members are **** heads.

former UH WR patrick edwards broke his leg vs marshall (google the story)

sued their band, got a million.

cut his parents like 25-50k each without them asking. he tried to take care of them. they BLEW through the money and hound him for more now. how you look at your mom and pops like, nah **** yall

I'm Still Waiting On Woj... Seems Odd Because They Just Said They Would Wait To See What Riley Would Do

just seeing those reports now. surprised it happened so soon. at those salary figures (wade @ 12, bosh @ 11, lebron @ 21) how much more cap do they have to go after other FA's?

Damn if this is true they'll have around $11 mill to work with (not including Napier, Cole, and Haslems contracts)

looks like the pacers are trying to use their 2.1 mil exception on cj miles....

Where are these figures coming from?

Canzano is somehow tapped into Miami's cap situation, how again? :lol

I have not seen one other soul report a thing about Bosh, Wade, or Bron, but this hack in Oregon has their contracts down cold?

Certain athletes arent smart enough to give their parents/family members allowances

If i was an athlete i'll buy my parents a house but only give them about 5,000 a month in allowance, give my aunts & uncles 2,000 a month & tell them they can take care of extended family with that monthly allowance because i wont be dealing with them

I think bron gives his mom 8,000 a month in allowance

:lol at Canzano.

Dude is all the way in Portland. I'll wait until Windhorst or Woj break the story in regards to Miami.
