Damn season hasn't tipped and we are here already.

CP and I went at it over this. You can't change someones views on what they want for thier team. CP has his view I have mine. If he roots for the team to lose so we can get more assets so be it.

But I thought it was clear that we wouldn't hate on anyone who wanted to see this team win as many games as possible thus year. Did something change?

But please let us have some positive emotions in here for a few weeks

Long as they don't start saying stuff to people on my side of the equation. That's where the differences have been. It should be much better this year. We all know where we stand.

You stay stuff like this yet señor robot says I puff my chest out :lol

Where's the justice , where's the equality :lol

Seriously tho don't u think you're promoting a divisive mentality with statements like that ?

My side of the equation and where we stand sounds like a civil war is about to breakout in here

Honestly, I don't even know what the complaints are.:lol

We all root how we want to root, if someone roots in a manner you don't like, ignore them and move on.

Like Tupac said, root how you want and keep it movin. No need to change any minds, we all know where we stand.

No civil war needed.

I love this thread. It's the same thing everyday.
If we aren't fighting each other over the coach it's kobe, if it ain't kobe it's pro/anti tank.

I actually agree with CP I think this season will be a lot smoother in here cuz we all have the same expectations which is nothing lol

I mean...unless we miraculously start winning then we won't see a happy CP. THEN civil war starts lmao

But is rooting for losing actually rooting at all, that's all I'm saying....

No, not exactly. My thinking: losing brings the highest chances of something good coming out of this season, imo. Which is why I'll be happy with every loss.

I've already written off the Lakers being decent or good, so that's why I stand where I stand even before the season starts.

You stay stuff like this yet señor robot says I puff my chest out :lol

Where's the justice , where's the equality :lol

I think you missed the point of why I said that :lol

I'm almost positive the lakers are done building thru the lottery. I feel they will look at trade/free agency starting this season, even if it looks like we may be lottery bound. Also I think randle/kobe and the bench are being severely underrated. I would be shocked if the bench doesn't wind up as the best in the league, absolutely top 5.

It seems like when most think about this upcoming season, they visualize nothingness. Randle is a savage, blake griffin is a fair comparison for him. Kobe in his last healthy season was a monster and tho he didn't play much last year, he had good games vs two of the best defenders at two guard - Pj tucker and gerald henderson. Nick young will be responsible for a few wins just like last year, hate him or love him

The lakers will make a mid season trade and attempt to win games. Their activity is meant to attract free agents this offseason and make a legit championship push next year and the foreseeable future. Randle will be the cornerstone and he will be surrounded by a veteran presence, we have witnessed this with bynum and Kobe before him.

Yeah, there are tradeable pieces, just depends what type of trades Mitch is willing to do. Hopefully he flips Hill/Lin/Nash any possible way at the deadline.

We'll see what he has in mind.

Yea CP I hope to GAWD you're not right about Mitch being washed up
I still believe the man can still build a contender ...pull off a little magic in the process

He's stsrting to get the things he needs ...money ...assets ...activity etc

I hope I'm wrong too.

A lot of the reason I've hoped for losses is to double protect against his nature and sort of "force" him to rebuild the roster with added assets.

His last few decisions have been really bad. At least if we lucked into keeping our picks, it would give him ammo he didn't expect to have.

Need Mitch to get back into 05-08 mode.

Any idea on who to follow in college? No idea who are good prospects this year I think Mundiay is the only name :lol

Mitch has some guys with value, so I think he can swing a few good but small trades. He's made some questionable decisions recently, but that Hill contract and the Lin trade (with the late first rounder) were some good baby steps.

He doesn't have enough to swing one that will magically fix all the Lakers' problems at the deadline, though.

I'd love another Ariza type pull, I just don't expect another Pau type deal.

But a 23-24 year old at low cost, without giving up much like he swung for Trevor would be great.

There's potential to hit a homerun. Not sure he should swing for it, but that's always there. Just need to find a team that's desperate. Don't give it a huge chance, but I wouldn't say it's 0.

But he could most certainly acquire another 1st and 2nd rounder with what we have.

He will bring up Joe Johnson's departure as a regret before anyone else. The Suns were $833,333 per year apart on an extension before Johnson's last Phoenix season. As a free agent, Johnson felt like the Suns tried to lower his free-agent value and did not make an offer, prompting him to ask that they not match Atlanta's $70 million offer ($20 million more than he had wanted nine months earlier).

"I beat myself up about that one because we were in a position where that piece could have helped us probably extend our chance to run for a longer period of time," Sarver said.
