Randle + Kobe: severely underrated, about to beast?

Bench about to be top 5 in the league?

Those of you making these predictions, what are you going off of to say these things?

I want to see what you see. I do. I've seen nothing from Kobe that suggests 20/5/5. I'm not saying I've seen him hoop lately and he's been horrible, because I haven't seen that. But I haven't seen greatness, either. And considering the age, coming off 2 surgeries, what is in your field of vision that causes you guys to see 20/5/5 from Kobe, beastmode from Kobe + Randle, and a top 5 bench?

And I'm not here to argue; just genuinely curious.

And if your response is simply "I just FEEL it," I can dig it.

Bench was top 5 last year. 2nd in PPG, T-6th in RPG, 5th APG, T-9th in SPG, 3rd in BPG, 7th in FG%, 1st in 3P%, 2nd Efficiency, 7th in Defensive Efficiency

Let's assume Kobe shoots 17 times a game. He hasn't shot that little since 98-99/99-00 (15.6 & 17.9 respectively). If he shots 43% that's 7.31 makes, and he shoots about 20-25% of his shots from 3, 20% is 3.4 shots, 33% from 3 would be 1.32 makes from 3. 6 times from the line has shot at least 6 Free Throws a game since 1999-2000. At 84% 5.04 FTs made.

5.99 shots made from 2 - 11.98
1.32 shots made from 3 - 3.96
5.04 shots made at the line - 5.04

That is 20.98 PPG

Last two years we've seen his game slow down and transition to more passing. With less athleticism isn't unreasonable to say 5 assists.

Rebounds is where he may not hit it. But hasn't had less than 5 rebounds/game since his first two seasons.



Randle was the most ready player in the draft. I don't think he'll be 16 & 10, but if he is playing 24 minutes 11 & 7 will be easily obtainable. He's very aggressive on the boards, has a lot of strength and has good athleticism to get easy buckets.
