Why are the Spurs such a heavy favorite over OKC in here?

The only advantage the Spurs have is Pop. Everything else is advantage OKC.
If Brooks can take a vacation or something and not mess anything up, OKC will be fine.

Trust me man, don't go down the rabbit hole. I've had to listen to Doc and Thibs hype and praise all God damn year. They dismiss ANY excuse for MDA, but then pile excuse on top of excuse for those two and never stop.

You been around long enough man, you know that prisoner of the moment mentality runs rampant. People are looking at OKC as a team that just struggled to beat an apparent doormat of a team while SAS just made an all of a sudden juggernaut in Portland look like amateurs.

Doc was a bad coach, who met Tom Thibbadeau and became a good coach.
He sin't Popavich, Phil Jackson level but he's very very good.
I would put him up around Rick Carliles a shade under Erik Spolestra.

Doc is a good coach. He's definitely better than VDN. He may be great at certain things, but he's not in the same class as guys like Phil and Pop. But I'd take him over MDA any day.

I just don't see this OKC team being as strong as the one SAS faced in the WCF a few years ago. Sure, they will have their problems keeping up with the athleticism of OKC, but I still think the Spurs win in 6. I've favored OKC in 2 series already, but I think the run ends here.

I love the Clippers offense. Less pure isos and everyone touchnig the ball and moving. They assisted on 17 of their first 18 baskets. Personel obviously plays a role, but I'll give him credit there. I tend to be more of the he is wildly overrated crowd though.

Doc has 24 wins in 2007, and wins a title in 2008. Now, everyone gives him the benefit of the doubt. Why? MAJOR talent upgrade to his roster.
Mike D'Antoni was about to win the 2007 title, only Stern decided to suspend his 2 bigs for not a damn reason, and now Mike is known as what? A loser.
And Laker fans can't grasp that for ****. They believe that Doc is the reason 2008 happened, but 2007 is all on Mike, not anything else. It's ******* ridiculous.

2010 was his full team, only he got to use missing his bum Center for a single game. But when Phil was missing 2 starters in 08, Doc was ok with that.
Oh the imaginary Rondo, Deng, Gortat, Nate pipe dream again that wouldn't have been possible without moving a lot of those pieces? Or the ones that were actually there and good enough to get to the conference finals, yet not good enough to get over the hump? Or the next stop in NY where he quit and his teams were garbage or last year where he failed to mesh the Lakers when they had Kobe-Dwight-Nash-Pau. Or the fact that without a prime Steve Nash, he looks incompetent and his record is 223-330. And has a worst winning percentage in the playoffs than Mike Brown.
I ain't making excuses for Doc like hey if KG doesn't get hurt in 2009, they probably make it back to the Finals or in 2011 Rondo doesn't get his arm cheap shotted by Wade they probably win that series too.
