Yes. WB particularly even gets criticized in wins so I don't get what you're getting at. 3rd WCF in 4 years is pretty significant in terms of a resume though. I mean Cliff is older and still yet to surpass the 2nd and obviously people are growing tired of his antics. The mud slinging is warranted. Try to undersell it now after the fact if you want, but this team was a championship contender and favorite coming in.

Yeah, they had championship potential, but so did the Thunder and Spurs and, to a less extent, the Rockets. So, its hard for me to say the choked by losing to the Thunder. Sure, I'm disappointed, but I think the Thunder should get credit for just being better.

Cant blame matchup problems if your a top 3 player and best at your position you are supposed to be the matchup problem

OK, but lets just say the Clippers don't choke away game 5 (with the help of the refs) and win the series. Would everyone be saying that KD and Westbrook are overrated? Somehow, I don't think so. The Clippers got beat by a better team. Why does that mean CP has to take the blame for it and get called overrated? If you don't like the guy, you don't like the guy, that's fine. But all this, "he gets a pass" stuff is just silly to me.

I'm pretty sure everyone would shh all over KD for getting the MVP if they lost. And the Westbrook slander would be even worse than it is after he has a bad game, the 'They'd be better without Westbrook' folk would be out in full effect.

Are you serious with this my G? :lol :rollin

Alright... So that Bulls team that lost to Mia... Besides Pooh who was averaging 25 & 8 the next offensive threat... Luol Deng who averaged 17 and Carlos Boozer who averaged 13... Yet you're telling me that he wasn't the #1 factor that Indy, AtL & MIA were trying to stop... You're saying that the defense ultimate focus wasn't stopping Pooh? :lol He wasn't getting doubled in both the Indy and ATL series... ALL SERIES? There weren't 3 people meeting him at the basket damn near every drive? Mia didn't have to switch LeBron on to him because he was killing Rio, Norris and Wade? What? :lol

Am I confused about Russ's performances vs LAL, SAS, and MIA... Did Russ not go for 40 plus when KD was casper the friendly ghost in the finals?!?!?! Was he not the reason they were even close in those games? Was he not dominating EVERY PG he faced during that run? Are you serious?

Rondo wasn't carrying that squad the last year they were together? Was he not top 3 in scoring and rebounding for them during the playoffs while leading them in assist?

Tony hasn't been the focal point for defenses for the past 3 seasons? He wasn't what drove SAS to the finals and wouldn't have been the finals MVP had MIA not been given the grace of god in game 6?

Bro you're going WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of your way to defend chris to the point where you're appearing to lack basketball acumen and historical contex. You Should Stop. :{

I def was referring to Rondo & Russ my fault for saying everybody because it's clear as Day d-Rose was the only offensive option on those bulls squads :lol. but my point still applies to Rondo, Russ, & TP.

Outside of Blake, CP & Crawford nobody else on that team can create their own shot, And He's there best defensive player on the perimeter who can't afford to take a break on defense. Can you imagine what happens if Russ, TP, etc etc see JJ standing in front of them... Hell everytime Jackson saw JJ he took him directly to the rack.

And once again i never denied that they played well, but they DAMN SURE DIDN"T CARRY their teams anywhere. your acting as if the fact that KD was on the court didn't allow Westbrook to be defended by chalmers.

As if Rondo being the 4th most worried about option on offense & having a Legendary defender in KG, and a very capable one in Perk doesn't help him on defense, as if he didn't have the option of two of the best clutch shooters of all time.

You acting as if in game 6 & 7 MIA didn't finally focus full attention on TP and suddenly he's turning the rock over in pivotal moments and bricking everything.

The just of what i'm saying is that outside of Rose( Who beat two mediocre teams before making the ECF & getting shutdown) is that those other three players (Rondo, TP, WB) had much better teams at their disposal and didn't carry near the demand in attention that CP3 does with this clippers team.

So we still acting like the Clippers weren't built this season to win RIGHT NOW? Anything less than a WCF appearance has to be considered a failure.

this. ive been saying that about 5 teams (clips/spurs/okc/heat/indy) going into the season and after the first half of the season
these teams were built to win now
the clips had enough on that roster/coahing staff to beat the okc. they just couldnt get it done. i dont care if barnes is your starting 3, thabo is their starting 2, blah blah

So now the Clippers aren't deep in talent, and don't have one of the best benches in the league.

Ight.

Yea they have a good team, nothing about that team is GREAT or make them seem like favorites.

KD Russ> Blake & CP
Ibaka> Deandre
Barnes & Reddick> sefolasha & Perkins

as far as bench

Collison, Jackson, Adams, Butler>>>>>>>> Crawford, Collison & corpses

So now OKC has a better bench than the Clippers?????????? You're reaching my dude, might have to check the replay to see if I should change that statement to a Flagrant 2 foul :{

You are missing the point.  The argument is whether or not the Clippers are a championship quality team or not.  They are.  Just because there are a small handful of teams that are as good as them or better than them does not change that.

I'm not saying they're not. I'm saying that losing to another championship quality team is not "choking." But if it makes you feel better to call it that, go for it.

OK fine.  Choking is the wrong word.  But (not saying you) Clipper fans are trying to downplay the talent on this team because they ended up losing to another championship quality team.  That is absurd to me.  This team was loaded.  Period.

Yikes @ the slander cannons Chris is getting mopped up with in here. No mercy on his ***.

Some of it is sort of phony though and the usual OD **** the day after elimination.

Props to those who kept it consistent since day 1.

I mean, despite what happened last night, I still think Paul is the best PG in the league. However, a lot of the criticism is warranted.

I've never once considered him the best PG in the league. I've always had Tony Parker, and recently Steph Curry above him.

Shrugs

Cp3 is still the best pass first pg but as I have always said, true pgs are the most overrated position/role in sports
