That Dunk Contest lineup is legit besides Barnes. He's a good in-game dunker but I can't see him doing much in a dunk contest.

brown rode lebron to the finals

More than that, the east was a joke. None of those teams would have been an 8th in the west
The Pistons were a top 10 team on both ends of the floor. They'd easily make the playoffs in the west.
They would have been a 6-8th seed at best in the Western conference, that Pistons team was basically on their last legs at that point. And Cleveland cakewalked to the ECF by facing two injury riddled teams.

That was easily the weakest year for the Eastern conference in recent history, and that's saying something.

So...he's right? :lol

Lebron James thinks he should be defensive player of the year, because he guards all position :lol
Dudes talking about his defense last night when LAC had 112. Crawford had 30. Griffin had 40. LAC scored nearly 40 in the fourth. I wasn't impressed by any Heat defender last night

wait did lebron really say that yesterday? i though it was a quote from last year

Umm, ok? I didn't say they'd win 70 games if they switched conferences. I just said they'd easily make the postseason.

And when you're being coached by Mike Brown and surrounded by Larry Hughes, Big Z, Drew Gooden, & Sasha Pavlovic there is no such thing as a "cake walk" against any playoff team.

Hopefully Ben Mac can perform under the lights because he has some serious athleticism

Lillard is explosive as **** though, he just doesn't show it that much in games because he pulls up for jumpers so often. No clue how he'd be in a contest though.

Not sure how any of these guys are gonna be in a contest, but at least the potential is there.

At least PG should know better than to go the gimmick route a second time. Who knows about the others.

thought PG wasnt gonna do it again. guess he needs that extra sprite money for the child support payments SMH

How are people saying the Pistons were on their last legs in '07 when they had the 2nd best record in the NBA in '08?

melo is the one that messed up da situation

Man that dude aint been the same since hes TRASH. Point blank period!
hes the main reason we're not fighting with the bucks for last place right now

Lol what difference does it make

the difference is everything, if we had a bad coach rather than dantoni we would have the worst record on lock

now we have to stress out about wins over boston and cleveland

Damian Lillard is participating in every All-Star event (Rookie-Sophomore game, Shooting Stars, Skills Challenge, 3-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest, All-Star Game) :eek :x

I remember that postseason pretty well, it was a cakewalk and was definitely seen that way at the time.

In the first round they faced Washington, who normally were a tough matchup for them but Arenas and Caron Butler had gotten hurt towards the end of the season, so it was basically like playing a lottery team in the first round.

They played the Nets in the second round who were a mediocre 41-win team (only in the East would a 41-win team make the second round). The Pistons in the ECF were their toughest competition, but that was hardly the Pistons of old, the team under Flip Saunders was completely different from the great Larry Brown teams.

Even if you take issue with the word "cakewalk", I think one can easily argue that it was the the easiest road to a Finals in recent NBA history.

I don't think it's confirmed, I think they just asked him too and he's still considering.

Regardless, that would be cool as hell if he did. He would definitely put his name out there

has anyone done the dunk contest and 3 point contest during the same all-star weekend?

How can a road to the Finals be considered easy for a team when they only have 1 all star caliber player on the roster, a mediocre coach, & two of their 3 conference series went 6 games?

Far from a cakewalk, far from easy. CLE was not good enough as a team to have an "easy" road to the finals.

And you realize Detroit won 60 games & made another conference finals the very next year right? They weren't on their last legs at all in '07.
