Dude brought up dr j  im out

His situation/expectations was never on the same level as lebron :smh:

Just like we all make fun of Dr. J

Dr. J isnt really considered in the discussion of the greats like Mike Magic or Russell, etc.

Probably cause he only has one ring

And guess what, Dr. J didn't win a ring until another HOF player came to the team. What a concept. Play with other great players and you start winning championships.

I brought up Dr. J to show that 1 time champion or 10 time champion, no one is going to discredit a hard earned NBA championship.

The arguments we're having about lebron is over the fact that he took an easy route to win an NBA title.

LEBRON TOOK AN EASY ROUTE TO WIN AN NBA TITLE.

TREVOR ARIZA BORN AND RAISED IN LOS ANGELES PLAY FOR THE LAKERS WON A RING AND THEN BOUNCED FOR THE MONEY BUT NOBODY GOT A PROBLEM WITH THIS...BUT WE GOT A PROBLEM WITH LEBRON BECAUSE HE WANTS TO PLAY BASKETBALL WITH HIS FRIENDS IN ONE OF THE BEST CITIES? I SEE RIGHT THROUGH ALL Y'ALL

It really is. Let's be realistic. Lebron would've never won in Cleveland to begin with. They failed to pick up amare, boozer, bosh and wade. Bulls, Heat and celtics were all better than that Cleveland team. If lebron somehow made it back to the finals, mavs, thunder, and spurs (2x) would very hard to beat.
he eventually would have wasted prime yrs in cleveLand until his stock drop...wasnt marketable, in his latter yrs...putting up historic numbers....only to be criticized for putting up historic numbers on a bad team and never winning anything, to which he would have been dealt to a winning team playing a minimum role, finally winning a championship to which folks wouldve called him a ring chaser, or he didnt really earn it cause he wasnt "the man" for that team. Or it dosnt count cause he won in the down spiral of his career.

Either way he was doomed solely off the fact that he was drafted by one of the worst sport franchises in all of sports. Couple that with inept and incompetent gm's management etc.... His fate/the hate was already their before he even was drafted because any scenario outcome possible, he would have recieved hate, career wouldve been slighted simply being born and raised in akron and being drafted by cleveLand.

WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER... ANYONE TELL YOU HOW TO DO YOUR JOB???

"Bron took the easy way out" but lets act like wade wasnt becoming melo status once shaq left

Wade was on his way to being the next dr j  if it wasnt for that power move

really glad rachel nichols has been assigned to exclusively report on legbron's cramp status

never knew this much about cramps til this ocurrence

Please stop with this Lebron as Goat thing. Goat's don't get swept in the finals. Lebron fans are the reason he's so scrutinized because they're so out of touch with reality. Let the man win this series than we can MAYBE put him in the top 10

How many MJ posters do u have up in your room?

Which team are you a fan of? Would you be happy if Lebron signed to your team or would you still be talking with the IQ of a 4 year old?

nah

dude would be a KING

bringing a championship to Cleveland? doing the impossible

he would be remembered for that for the next 100 years.

semi srs
and how was that going to occur? become a gm, partial owner...... basically run basketball operations. cleveland had no interest in being a winning team so much as they were winning in terms of sales, generating revenue.

Its like a horrible version of jerry jones lead dallas. Dude actuallly has generated and made more money as a 8-8 team then in the glory days "winning days". The ownership of the cavs has no eye for talent, and no knowledge of operating and running a successful "winning" basketball team.

They are more or less successful businessman who had a interest in owning a team...ala like folks go out and buy exotic cars and other extravagant purchases just cause...they simply can.

What was he gonna do... play so hard that somehow dan gilbert turned into the midwest jerry buss? So how many triple doubles would it have taken by lebron for the ownership to be competent in basketball? About how many allstar game apperances would it take for them to develop an eye for talent... How many mvp's does it take for ownership to be a great scout for talent? to make wise beneficial trade acquisitions?

This notion of ownership gaining knowledge and becoming great at developing/drafting/scouting talent/teams based on how long lebron stayed in cleveLand is just stupid. Yall giving players to much credit..and coaching/management/ownership too little. For as great as kobe/shaq was.... lets not act like it wasnt the coaching staff... the talent scouts, management and ownership that comprised and put the pieces in place to make the lakers a dominant team.

Its not like kobe just up and said oh well if i just play hard...some magically miracle way a great team/dynasty will just appear by osmosis. If that was the case they would have at least a decent respectable team now.

what i find funny is ppl saying that these games are rigged refs throwing games...yet tend to omit the fact that jordan and the nba had a us federal indictment about throwing games, shaving points, underworld/mafia casinos placing bets etc... and refs with paper trails on certain games, and recorrded convos that magically disappeared and never to see the light of surface again.

I........ LOVE...... THIS....... THREAD

Off topic but have y'all seen Bird play on classics?

I used to think he was the "great white hope"

Although I still think he's a tad bit overrated, he still top 10.

With that said, Bron would wash, dry, and fold Larry on the court.

With that said

Rachel Nichols

I want her soooo bad :wow: but I bet she gets passed around in NBA circles. I can tell by the interviews that lebron hit too :smh:

cleveland is salty (rightfully so) because they actually dropped a ton of cash on players to try to help him win a championship. i think they even hired a new coach for the next season (lol). it isn't like they surrounded him intentionally with scrubs. larry hughes...shaq... just to name a few scrubs

larry hughes was supposed to be his pippen/jordan. hindsight is 20/20 and hilarious
