2009 football/soccer summer transfer rumors

Real dropping out of the Cesc race. Interesting to see if they can somehow get Xabi Alonso.
On a side note...when soccer season comes, where do you guys catch La Liga and EPL games? Are there live streams online?

I am pretty sure there are live streams. This year for those lucky few with espn360 pretty much all the la liga games will be on there this year which wouldbe amazing if I had espn 360 with my cable provider. I have FSC which shows some premiership games but someone correct me if I am wrong it seems like Setantagets the first pick every week of the big games because a I feel like a lot of the Big 4 match ups especially did not end up on FSC.

besides espn360, i stream matches from the following sites:

I don't understand why we need Fabregas. We need another defender, we don't want to repeat the champions league last year and risk playing players outof position. Iniesta is better than Fabregas IDK why we need him.

I hope the champions league on Fox isn't bad. Does anyone know if they have the FSC commentators or just get a stream from BBC or something?

rotation.depth.
you might find Fabregas very useful...
don't forget, top teams like Barca play over 50 games throughout a whole season...
it will certainly freshen up Xavi or Iniesta if Cesc was to replace ether one of them for a game or two...

Umm you want Cesc to be a rotation player? You don't pay 40-50 million euros for a rotation player. When used correctly, Cesc is one of the top all aroundfootballers in the world. You can't forget that Cesc is still really young and all the negatives to his game (lack of goals) could be easily worked out.Cesc would be a perfect fit at Barca, if they got rid of Xavi or Iniesta. That, in my opinion, makes no sense though, as they are both better players than Cescat this point. Iniesta was probably the world's best player during the second half last year and Xavi is as consistent as they come. He's right, Barcado not need Cesc, they need some to groom behind Henry and maybe a defender.

what if Fabregas came in on a free transfer?

the transfer market...it is what it is...
don't get yourself absorbed by the crazy amounts of money you've seen over the last season or so...

anyway,i was merely pointing out how a player like Cesc can help or even improve Barca should the club make a move for him...
whether he plays or not is entirely up to the manager to decide...
wink.gif

if anything,Cesc should work even harder to prove that he's worthy of a starting place in the team...

that's a good question.

Imo, Lass is better at pressuring and hes really good on the ball. I'm a Mahamadou Diarra fan, bought his jersey last season. He was on fire before theinjury. The one major advantage Mahamadou has over Lass is his presence in the air. He wins almost every header.

Ideally, I'd keep both players. Unfortunately, I think Mahamadou may be let go. If thats the case, I hope he goes to a club capable of winning titles.
