Less Forcier, more Robinson?
[h5]Michigan Wolverines[/h5]

Golden child/media darling Tate Forcier was benched by coach Rich Rodriguez late in the fourth quarter of Michigan's 30-28 loss to Iowa -- despite the fact that Forcier's late-game heroics have become a staple of SportsCenter. Backup Denard Robinson led the team on one scoring drive but then threw a game-ending interception on the Wolverines' next possession.

"Tate made a few plays that he'd probably like to have back," said Rodriguez, "but we made a change to get a little spark."

Rodriguez denied that he and Forcier exchanged harsh words on the sidelines, though at the very least they appeared to be having quite animated conversations. The question of a quarterback controversy will never be seriously raised, given Robinson's shortcomings as a passer, but at the very least, writes Terry Foster of the Detroit News, Robinson should be playing a lot more than he does.

After back-to-back losses, we'll see how soon the Wolverines are able to get back to their happy place.
WR Adams suffered mild stroke
[h5]Arkansas Razorbacks[/h5]

In a shocker, leading receiver Joe Adams missed Saturday's huge win over Auburn because he apparently suffered a stroke earlier in the week. Coach Bobby Petrino said the stroke may have happened last Monday, although Adams practiced on Tuesday before undergoing a series of tests. He rejoined the team Friday night and watched the game from the sideline.

"He's doing really well," Petrino said. "We were very concerned about him. But he's doing great. I don't know what the diagnosis is, what the near future holds, but he's in great hands and our trainers and our doctors did an excellent job."

In fact, it's unclear whether Adams, a sophomore who is averaging 19.8 yards a catch, will be able to play again this season. Offensive coordinator Paul Petrino said, "It's too early to even speculate on anything like that."

The Razorbacks suffered another blow during the game when their third-leading receiver, Jarius Wright, suffered a concussion in the first half. But even without Adams and Wright, Arkansas had sufficient depth to maul the Tigers, proving its high-octane offense might not miss a beat.
Berry excels in RB debut
[h5]Miami (FL) Hurricanes[/h5]
Top Email

It was a trick-and-treat day for Miami's offense. On the positive side, fourth-string running back Damien Berry, a former safety who had never carried the ball in college, shredded the Florida A&M defense for 162 yards on only 14 carries. It was the highest output by a Hurricanes tailback this season. Granted, the game was a blowout, but if Graig Cooper and Javarris James continue to struggle with injuries, perhaps Berry proved that he is a legitimate option.

On the negative side, sophomore Aldarius Johnson, Miami's leading receiver last year, caught two passes on the Canes' opening drive and then headed for the locker room. He later emerged with his right arm in a sling, though his exact injury and his long-term prognosis are still unknown.

Miami has already had plenty of time this season to get used to life with Johnson, who has missed two games with an injured groin. In his absence, LaRon Byrd has emerged as Jacory Harris's favorite target.

Yikes. Saw that Joe wasn't playing but that is terrible. Hopefully he got everything checked out and is good to go.

Tates the starter. Shoelace needs to get some balls thrown his way and get him out in space. Kid can turn it up when he needs to and IMO should get 10-15 snapsevery game. Hopefully they can get things clicking when they go up against Delaware State.

Coach Rich Rodriguez made the announcement Saturday night after Iowa beat the Wolverines 30-28.

Cissoko told a reporter earlier in the day he didn't travel with the team because he was "banged up," but would return in the next game. Hestarted every game last year and the first four games this season. Cissoko lost his job in the fifth and was suspended for the sixth.

Michigan (4-2) has lost two straight games on the road after winning its first four at home. The Wolverines host Delaware State (1-2) on Saturday.

According to sources close to the situation, T.J. Leifheit verbally committed to North Carolina during his official visit over the weekend.

Leifheit, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle from Wilmington (N.C.) Hoggard, selected UNC over fellow finalists Southern Cal and Tennessee. However, he had collected 30-plus scholarship offers.
Stay tuned to Inside Carolina for more on this breaking story…

Beat me to in JND.

I just got back from the gym, hit up IC and see that Leifheit committed. What a great night.

His back to back visits to UT had me worried. He should be able to see PT early because the OL is by far our biggest weakness.

Florida and FSU folks, any word on Christian Jones? SC been recruiting him pretty hard as of late. He staying in Florida?

Joe is feeling pretty good and in good spirits (from what he says

),hoping he can play again this year, but I think we should sit him the rest of the season and see if he can get a MRS.

Norton Jr. LOVES the kid, and I know USC been on him hard.

But I'll be surprised if the kid is not a Nole come NSD.

Moreso than any other prospect in the Class, including Joyner and Green.

If we lose CJ, man.

We can't lose this dude.

I can't name 3 better LB's in the nation.

Real +#%$ though, P-Rob already looking ahead to the NFL. He's playing for sundays. He's playing not to get hurt. (Well, so much for that)

He ain't hungry no more. He supposed to be dominating.

Joe too. But Joe been showing out more than P-Rob. Joe playing for the L too. He just got safety help

Also, I think EB solidified himself as a top 3-5 pick.

His versatility was always known (FS/SS/CB)

But w/ the way Monte uses him, he's shown that he can play LB too

I guess they figure if Leodis McKelvin can go round 1. Hibachi can too...

what has Carlos Dunlap done to grade out as a 96? are they grading game performances or is it just a grade they are sticking on the players

9. Trent WilliamsOTOklahoma6-5
Maybe Im missing some crucial games vs Tulsa and Baylor

but I seen this guy getting the turnstyle treatment vs BYU and Miami...

Ndajfhflkjdsahfladsh Suh and Eric Berry are the best defensive players in the country.

Anyone thinks McClain bolts after this year?

Rittenberg is way late on Bouba being suspended. Already back with the team and practicing. Got a meeting with some family members and the coaching staff tosort some things out. Hopefully kid will make the changes needed because we need him. Hopefully he can get healthy too. Playing on one foot and not being ableto lift an arm over your head is tough for a corner.

I agree. Obviously he is drawing more blocking attention but his overall production has not been great. I thought up until the LSU game ourD-line as a whole had been underperforming.

NVM i see what the grades are for
GradeRound EquivalentDescription
90-1001st RoundA premier college player with all the physical tools to take over a game and play at a championship level. He demonstrates elite-to-rare NFL potential and rates in the top 5 players nationally at his position. A prospect with a grade of 99 or 100 is rare. Prospects carrying grades between 92-98 are considered mid-to-high first rounders, while prospects grading out between 90-91 are fringe first rounders.
80-892nd RoundA feature player at the collegiate level that has an impact on the outcome of the game. He generally cannot be shut down by a single player and plays on a consistent level week in and week out. Most importantly, he shows the potential to create mismatches versus many opponents in the NFL. He rates in the top 5-to-10 at his position and is considered a second round draft prospect.

Kid's had quite fall from the supposed #1 player in the state... read he got booted from practice more than a few times, and his grades are way down sincehe got the benching. Hope all this bad blood gets back to Dior and he decides to head to MSU...
