That’s where we disagree then. Clippers don’t have a good enough bench in my eyes.

We had a great bench last year . Caruso, Dwight,Kuz, Kief, Rondo. That’s an additional 5 players to pull from. And my main point is I don’t see that on the Clippers roster.

Kennard/Marcus/Lou/Zu is easily better than that, man what lol?

Hawks 7th in the league in defense?

top 10 point differential?

6th seed rn?

Trae struggling and still at 25/4/9 on a 57TS%

all is well in the black Mecca.

I’ll holla 🙏🏾✌🏾

Kennard is a non factor to me. Lou is a liability in the playoffs. Marcus is inconsistent and Zu is Zu. Only so much he can do.

You could say the same kind of things about the Lakers bench players before the bubble last year. They were unproven, but stepped up and got it done, by committee.

Not all of them were good in every playoff game, but a combo of enough of them were good enough each game to help the team get it done.

The Clippers have enough bench pieces that its conceivable the same thing could happen with them, if the starters play at a high level the whole playoffs.

By the way, Clippers Sunday matinee games make me nervous as a rule, but now that a non-Clippers fan has shown them some love in here, I 100 percent expect them to lay an egg against OKC tomorrow. NT reverse jinx is special.

Thanks storm2006 storm2006 :smh:

Most championship teams have “poor” depth because all the money is spent on the top end talent but the top end talent is supoosed to be so good that you just need your KCPs and Brian Shaw’s of the world to make open shots when it matters and not be a train wreck for 15ish minutes give or take

Few years ago Paul George averaged 28 ppg and got duffed by Joe Ingles in round 1.

**** he was essentially 25 a night last year & when the playoffs started you didn’t know which PG was gonna show up.

Encouraging start but.... we’ve seen this before... from these exact players  . The playoffs are a different sport.

Kawhi and PG didn't hold up their end of the bargain. Didn't play like superstars when it mattered. Bench isn't the reason they lost.

it kind of is. Trez Shamet and Lou were a trainwreck

Look at what Kawhi and PG did in games 5 and 6 vs Denver

and look at what the rest of the team did in those two games

Now for game 7?For sure

It used to be a given/conventional wisdom that teams would shorten rotations to not more than 8 guys in the playoffs (blow outs excluded). Not sure when people started thinking more depth is critical to playoff success.

Not sure anyone is saying you need a full roster of depth. You need players to pull from. Y’all just said above that PG and Kawhi didn’t hold up their end of the bargain. If you have a solid bench, somebody else could’ve stepped up and helped take the load off of PG and Kawhi.

They were both absolutely pathetic in Game 7 though. 14/6/6 on 6-22 shooting in 43 minutes for Kawhi and 10/4/2 on 4-16 shooting in 38 minutes for PG. Can't place blame on anybody else for that.

There is no bench player that can make up what you lose if Kawhi or PG don’t hold up their end of the bargain bro lol

I mean I said I agreed with you for game7 right there  no pushback from me there

but they end it in 5 or 6 if they get something from anyone else. Literally.

Kawhi was garbage in the second half of game 5 and both him and PG were trash in the second half of game 6. Clippers had big leads and blew them in the second half mainly because of that. Can't just look at overall stats after the fact

saw a tweet that for sure put things in proper perspective. It said This team is 7-7 (before yesterday) hawks didn’t win their 7th game till game 34 last year

Will be interested to see what the Hawks look like in a month or so though. Upcoming schedule looks a lot different than what they've played thus far.

That’s it at this point. I won’t be fooled. Need to see it to believe. PG got the permanent Lemon Booty until he doesn’t.

Clips are in a tough spot because if they didn't show improvement in the regular season nobody would take them seriously and even if they do it still isn't enough because of how they ended the season last year. Won't know what they're made of until they do it in the playoffs

Clippers look good in the regular season. "LA our way" is what they supposedly call it me thinks

Lakers know how to pace and how to peak at the right time.

The right supporting cast is always key come playoff time, idc if you 8-deep or 10-deep
