Clippers are always going to look good in the regular season cause they have 2 stars. In fact, they look better this year compared to last year cause Lou Williams isn't as featured.

I dont know the numbers exactly but I dont think Lou is impacting the game enough offensively to make up for his defensive liabilities.

Gotta trade Lou Williams to get the one missing piece they've needed since day 1.

This feels more real to me. I actually see him going downhill on people

yeah bruh punching on dudes and has a sky high efficiency marks at the rim. If there is a difference with PG it’s the playmaking and the athleticism

They have what they need on the team. They really just need their two best players to play at this level come playoff time and for their role guys to make shots 🤷🏾‍♂️

I personally think the bench could be spruced up just a little bit, Lou will always be a liability, might as well try to get something for him.

I think one of the things the Clippers proved last year is just how overrated benches are

you really just need 2.5 guys who are competent and can make open shots if your stars are holding up their end of the bargain

I’ll worry about the Clippers when they get a point guard and a bench. Until then, it’s all regular season shenanigans for now.

Lol they don’t need no Point guard and playoff benches are overrated

they could stand to get another rotation wing though

Numbwr 2 offense last year
Number 1 this year with a bullet
lead the league in 3P% and generating open 3’s
The offense was fine in the playoffs last year too until they literally missed all the open shots they were creating

Why do they need a point guard again?

I’ll say they could use someone in the meantime since it looks like lemon pepper Lou is almost washed

You definitely need a couple competent guys off the bench no matter how good your starting lineup is. Definitely don't need to be 9-10 deep though.

Some people have convinced themselves that the slumps they hit against the Nuggests in games 4-7 coulda have been avoided. But someone like George Hill or DJ Augustin or Lonzo wouldn’t have made the difference then and won’t now.

He heading there and I don’t think that’s a bad thing for them. His role has been reduced but I think he has enough juice still as a playmaker to suffice for the regular season

I just think playmaking is the most overrated thing for a championship team. You need your wings to be elite scorers who have justtt enough juice to make plays if they get doubled.

They don’t “need” a point guard as much as they kawhi and PG to continue to do what they’ve been doing this year as far as playmaking goes. Batum/Kawhi/PG/Kennard is fine.

You guys are gonna need a PG to dictate the pace come playoff time.

I think if the Clips are lucky, they walk away with Rubio at the deadline.

Also, your boys aren't the most durable guys around. A better-rounded bench can help Kawhi and PG get some days off.

It's good they are playing every game to set the tone, but it's a long time from here to game 72.

Everything is fine until it’s not. They didn’t sign Reggie Jackson for no reason. There is nothing you can tell me to convince me that having a bench won’t hurt. You need a bench. We’ll see come playoff time when Kawhi exhausts himself from having to carry the load.

reggie aint ever been known for his playmaking though

Right? It’s not like their offense stopped generating open shots. Their process was fine. They literally went ice cold though.

I didn’t say benches don’t matter I said benches are overrated and you need like 2.5 guys who can make open shots and are competent

The Lakers showed this last year. Caruso, some Dwight, some Kuz here and there, etc you don’t need much and I think the Clips have that kind of role player(s) on this roster

They don't not have a bench though.

batum unwashing himself helps a lot with the playmaking. ultimately going to need consistency from PG and yeah that's a problem
This is true, if Batum really like this at the end of the season then yeah they will be a force.

I just don't know with this guy after watching him not care in Charlotte after 3 years lol

That’s where we disagree then. Clippers don’t have a good enough bench in my eyes.

We had a great bench last year . Caruso, Dwight,Kuz, Kief, Rondo. That’s an additional 5 players to pull from. And my main point is I don’t see that on the Clippers roster.

Ty Lue is basically treating PG and Kawhi like Lebron in Cleveland. They’ve got enough juice as playmakers to create for teammates. Throw Batum and Kennard in there and it’s a non issue. It wasn’t an issue last year

PG and Kawhi are playing like first team all NBA guys right now, creating open shots for really good shooters. As long as those two continue to play at this level, the Clips can box with anyone. Their top 9 is as good as anyone’s in the league.
