Belgium in their feels :{ No blame though, losing a 1 goal game can piss off anyone. The red deserves some shade for his performance if anyone does. Giroud was infallible in the 2nd half apparently and Mboop was getting soft *** calls.

Oh well, c'est la vie! Allez les Blues! :hat

You can't always associate possession with dominance tho. Belgium looked so uncomfortable with possession at times during the game, especially in midfield. I saw no real game plan from Martinez other than putting 100 crosses into the box and hoping Fellaini or Rom can get something on it. Typical EPL tactics.

If anything, seems like Belgium are upset that France didn't provide them enough opportunity to counterattack.

Facts, they're basically mad that they didn't play to Belgium's strengths and allow themselves to get cooked

Dudes played the same way just about against Brazil and it worked for them,France did their homework and used their strategy against them

They really did a good job of shutting down their attack after weathering the early storm in the first half, once they got the goal it didn't look like they were gonna concede

damn you just gonna dismiss croatia like that?
I'd be surprised if the physical impact from playing 120 minutes twice in a row doesn't do them in. Modric gave a near superhuman performance in the previous match and was sprinting from one end of the pitch to the other even close to the final whistle. Gave it his all to help get Croatia across the line and I'm not sure if he and Rakitic can pull those strings again with such little recovery time, though maybe it's not necessary against England. Whole team looked beyond exhausted by the end of it and Subasic looked like he got some kind of injury too. Not sure how bad it is but I assume he won't be playing based on how it looked.

Ima need one of Barca/Madrid to try and pry KDB out of Manchester.

That's what happens when you encounter a defensive team. You end up facing a rubiks cube that you need to solve in 90 or fewer minutes. Most teams will try and pass it sideways trying to find an opening. I think crosses can cause a break in the defense but France and the Chelsea that won the champions league a few years ago execute their strategy perfectly since they have world class players.

I agree though, Belgium is upset they were not given clear chances. I remember feeling that way when Chelsea (on their way to title...2012 i think)beat Barcelona defending all game and scoring on a Ramires counter. I don't like that style especially when my team is on the losing side lol
I personally enjoy the back and forth games where everyone is throwing the kitchen sink at each other.

son really just compared France to one of the Worst teams to ever win a UCL. We deff not watching the same games

I'd agree with the assertion of France playing "anti-football" to some extent. It's far from the most attractive football but clearly they had a plan and executed it to perfection. They sat back a lot as even Giroud was often way behind the middle line but they also made great use of their moments when they would get forward.
Defending is an art too and they completely shut us down with their execution of their plan. Griezmann in particular has clearly been learning a lot from Simeone; hard to mark, popped up everywhere on the pitch, put in an immense shift in the defense and made good use of his moments getting forward. Covered the most distance in the match I believe, or at least close to it.

Btw i am not a France hater. I am just agreeing with the comments made by Courtois and Hazard.

Anyway i bought this pro immigration france national team tee a few weeks ago that i wear in republican areas.

On paper, but they were one of the ugliest sides to ever win the UCL. They finished out of the top four that year too if I remember correctly.

On paper france is a 5 star team also that plays def counter ball. Thats all we saying. That chelsea team like this france team could play anyone.

That Chelsea side definitely had some excellent defending but also had the worst football (and best luck) I've ever seen in the sport. Park the bus, have Drogba roll around on the ground for half of the match to waste time/kill momentum, and wait for the 1-2 mistakes by the other club to go through. Not hating on it, just saying

No way Jose. If it wasn't for us he'd be in Bayern Munich

Speaking of KDB

He's right tho. And like most of yall said the only blame can be on Martinez, not France. They only dug deep for 20ish minutes because Belgium resorted to desperately cross it in. When KDB and Hazard had it outside the box they played beautifully. They were just lacking movement because Fellaini was just sitting in the box waiting for a cross and Chadli was just on the wing.

Hazard and Courtois just mad. They played for Mourinho who parked the bus for an entire match going up 1-0 lol they trippin.

I completely disagree.. that Chelsea team was terrible.. most of those notable names were well past their expiration date during that run. Like SFC said luck had a lot to do with it
