Pogba ceiling so much higher. I was more of a Pogba fan in Juve than I was of KDB. That Wolfsburg season put me on KDB. He dished out 20 assists to a bunch of average players. Bas Dost, Lord Bendtner, Shurlle and Perisic was all he had that year

The reality is I started watching soccer because of Pogba, so you could say Zidane in his prime and I would still probably be like Pogba>

Pogba just combines most of things I like in team sport athletes, unique rhythm pace+ awesome passing, ect.

He's been the best holding/defensive mid in the world during that time imo,he's the ultimate security blanket for a backline. Lowkey if P$G somehow manage to grab him,it could be a CL winning move

I sort of agree with Courtois and Hazard (I am not a Belgium fan).
France defended all game vs Peru and Argentina. I did not see the Uruguay game but I am assuming it was similar. The only team they dominated possession against was Denmark...of course Denmark and Scandinavian teams pretty much invented the defensive minded brand of football.
My French friend told me France outplayed Argentina but Argentina had 80% possession at the half and 70% at the end of the game. They were clearly the aggressor all game. Plus argentina had 2x the number of passes. France also needed a penalty to win. Being down in a match totally changes the dynamics and strategy in a game.
Anyway, what this tells me is that France is a defensive counter attacking team that is very efficient.

I am not saying they don't deserve to be in the final, but to say they dominate teams and are fun to watch is a stretch. France enjoys ceding possession and countering or scoring on set pieces.
I applaud them for their efficiency and effectiveness but I agree it is not the most appealing brand of football.

France vs England would pit two defensive counter attacking teams so I assume France would prefer an aggressor like Croatia who plays into their thus far successful strategy.
