The common beef with Nash is that he was all offense and no defense, if that is the case than how come AI is a clear hall of framer when boy was not playingANY type of defense (aside from gambling for steals) when it could be argued that Nash was a far more efficient offensive player.

AI was drafted onto a crappy team and was made the number one option and took a million shots a game, he was lucky enough to have an entire team built aroundhim to ensure his success. Nash was just a cog in a very good Mavericks team and wasn't the central option on a team until he signed with Phoenix. How comenash is so obviously NOT a hall of famer but AI is?

Steals are playing defense. You don't lead the league in steals if you cant play some sort of defense.

It's clearly AI.

The sad thing is there are people that will say Steve and that could hurt AI's chance of getting in on his first chance.

The ONLY knock anyone can have on AI is that he never won a title. The only one, and guess what? Nash hasn't even been to the finals yet.

He's got the MVP, scoring titles, All-Star appearances, the MVP in that too, the best scoring avg for someone his height. I don't see why anyone cansay he doesn't deserve it. He's not Alex English or Adrian Dantley or Marbury

AI all day... Nash doesnt even compare..... Ai had aaron mckie and eric snow and still carried them bums to the finals.... Nash couldnt make it out the 2ndround in his best yrs... Steve is a good PG but he aint on the level of AI.... AI will be a HOF GUARANTEED ... I had to add some more..... Nash aint never takeover a game offensively against REAL competition... Nash never led the league in scoring... Yeah he led in assisit a couple times , but he had amare and marionjumping all over the place.... I couldve led in assist in Mike Dantonis offense.... He aint ever been to the finals, he never avg close to 28- 31 ppg.... Heaint never put fear in oppenents when he stepped on the court, he never had the league change its rules cuz his crossover was killing folks every game...

For his overall impact in the league, his hardware (mvp, roy, all-star appearances, etc), his career numbers, and pretty much his overall career, AI>>>>>>> Nash in terms of HOF. Steve's 2 MVPs to AI's 1 MVP is the only case Steve has. Being a "more efficient offensiveplayer" is a reasonable case in terms of who's the better player on your team, but the HOF is ALL about legacy. AI's legacy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Nash's legacy.
