XXXTENTACION shot and killed in Broward County

I'm not trying to be funny but what are kids depressed about? Was it that older generations just didn't talk about things bothering them as much or could suck it up better? or is it that social media is glorifying and throwing it in today's kids face about what they don't have?
not sure if srs.. a lot of young people cant find jobs.. a lot of young people are graduating with lots of debt... a lot of young people still living at home with their parents.. a lot of young people addicted to drugs... a lot of young people arent having sex... older generations really ****** this new generation up.. I see so many young people just wandering not doing nothing with their lives just doing drugs and working dead end jobs.. all they got is this music

I don't know about any of you, but when I was younger I never thought about killing myself and popping drugs. Kids are vibing with these kind of dudes because that's all they are seeing and hearing. Pure pressure is a ***** especially when is coming from you from all angles.

Every video, song and media outlet is promoting it. Dudes go on IG and the first thing they talk about is popping drugs.

I'm not saying girls 6 8 10 12 14 or what have not weren't committing suicide back in the days, but I heard about those stories more frequently now.

Just the other day I heard a girl call another girl loser because she didnt have and iPhone wasnt sending nudes and didnt want to pop x at a party ... mind you she was 13.

Although there positive influence put there, when the entire circle is exposed to these idiots with an outlet, face tatts, doing drugs and giving an illusion about all they have that's what they'll gravitate to. **** is pathetic. How a girl that beats her mom get so famous?

Lastly, dude when he go going had a nice flow, but all I heard was that Sad and Jocelyn Flores and bro .. the songs are like 2 minutes and he only flows for about 10 to 30 seconds and everything is repeat. How is this great?
so hard to even read anything someone says when they post something like this at the beginning of their post.

Add to the fact that all the opioid prescription pills and stimulants are turning kids into dope heads to get a cheaper more available high at a early age.

bruh that world star video....

Dude talking about "you florida rappers do any dissing, we coming for you". I know earlier he said X did something to his cousin....bruh what ever happened to just beating people up :smh:

That’s multiple heads claiming to have bodied him..... this clout chasing/wants likes generation is ******ed.
Whatever happened to moving in silence. It’s like they can’t help themselves. But when they in jail they crying. Like they couldn’t help telling on themselves. :{

It's a chemical imbalance issue, not a sadness issue. External factors only exacerbate it, but they're rarely the source. What does Anthony Bourdain or Kanye have to be depressed about? I've used this example before but it's like some women who have a smell from their nether regions due to a chemical imbalance. They can clean it as much as they want it will still smell until they deal with the chemical imbalance.
I don't think she's talking about kids that are suffering from a chemical imbalance. Moreso those that are perfectly healthy but decide to take their lives because of simple temporary ****.

BTW, we are running with that angle, although she said that his music was pretty much about self destructive (suicide, depression, drugs, etc).
Not everyone that follows XXXtentation or any of these faced tatted, pill popping, idiots are just connecting because of depression or are they?

We talk about the subject being taboo back in the days, but it seemed because of it or actually because the proper education and helped the rate was going down. However, that rate as spiked up and I'm not saying is because of music, but im sure in a percentage is because of it. Facts are people like trends, whether they are positive or negative. This era is all about trends and taking their own life, doing stuff for media attention, popping pills, tattooing their faces, etc can be attributed in part to these young idiot rappers that dont understand the responsibility they have.

I don't see how as a young guy, hearing Sad it would make me feel better. Especially if I was heart broken or anything ..... I'm guess I'm old, but IMO happy thoughts, positive vibes promote and foster happy results. Locking myself up and listening to some of this music would make me have unwanted thoughts and I wouldnt dount seeing the acceptance or glorificalion of some of these thoughts would actually make someone do just that rather than seek help.

If you decide to take your own life, you're not perfectly healthy to begin with. One's ability to commit suicide indicates a serious mental health deficiency.

That's where you wrong.

I'm not going to sit here and pull up countless suicides that have happened because of temporary ****. Groundings, seeing someone doing it, games being taken away, etc. Most serious offense is bullied.

A simple conversation can have saved a life. This is the **** that is not being thought anymore.

A better or more accurate statement for kids committing suicide is:

They dont know the ramifications and think is socially acceptable.

My nephew 3 and half said he wanted to die because he was told he couldn't stay up passed 9 on the weekends. When asked why he said that, because he heard it in the tv .. where someone goes to sleep and never wakes up. Where he can be in peace. Yeah, he was mentally I'll if he actually or was able to take his life.

You're not understanding. Be it for a simple bump in the road like failing a test in high school or something major like a divorce or job loss, the mere ability to take one's own life over mental distress is indicative of a mental health disorder. And the mental health disorder isn't limited to depression/anixety....there are a host of mental illnesses that cause people to act impulsively.

The only argument I could see merit in would be a cancer patient or someone terminally ill with chronic pain or something.

TV, video games and smart phones have kids at home all day leading to loneliness, drug experimentation and obesity but that’s another topic. It’s only going to get worse.

There's evidence that shows it's the latter part of your statement. Social media envy, depression, and isolation is real. You only get to see the the highlights of people's lives, sometimes that negatively affects some people sadly. IDK if that's the case here, but yeah.

Pretty much. Social media is a facade. A lot of people see all those pics/vids and think those people are living a lavish lifestyle when most are out here doing the BowL Wow challenge.

No personality responsibility at all, huh.

No no, I understand exactly where you was going.

I however, cant lump everyone that commit suicide to a person that has a mental disorder/illness. If you can, great ....

However, what in saying is because of the outlets these rappers have and the accessibility these kids have ... suicides have gone up because it's seems its socially acceptable or glorified.

Unless you are saying kids now a days suffer more from mental illness than before. Cause if not, then I dont understand your point.

Of course there's exceptions and people make bad decisions. Young people in America going through some rough situations so I'm not surprised at all the depression and mental illness.

All young people go through rough situations. It's not the exception, it's the norm. Making bad decisions are a part of life. I notice young kids today have a lot of whoa is me as if it wasn't hard for everyone being young since man began

You don't think young people had it hard when they had to walk to school?
What about when they had to face discrimination just to go to school?
or young kids who had to work at 12 to help support their family?

Man ok. Young people these days are soft. :rollin

Some of y'all old heads are so ridiculous. No one was comparing other generations struggles. Just accept that young people are going through some hard times and understand why they are listening to xxxtentacion and championing his music because it relates to them.

I'm sure there was similar rates of depression and mental illness back then but no one was talking about it because it was "soft" to say you were depressed or suffered from mental illness. Thank God this generation isn't on that hyper masculine ******** and people are starting to understand the effects of mental illness.

The generation that doesn't take personal responsibility

You said it.

Do you think you have it easier or harder than past generations? Each generation has it easier than the one prior.

You've had it easy, so you expect things easy.

Life is rough. Life is hard. Life is full of bad decisions.
Not everything needs a label and medication.

It's how you survive and persevere from adversity.

If older people are to blame for something, it's for not teaching kids how to handle adversity and failing.
