Have the names Sami Zayn or Adrian Neville prevented either guy from getting over?

What about Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose?

But no one really knew about Rollins or Ambrose before hand.

Kenta, Steen, and Devitt are household names in the wrestling world. Not just indy stars.

So yesterday while working from home, I watched Summerslam 2002 from Long Island.

And wow - the amount of talent, quality booking, and excitement in every match is so beyond anything imaginable today is astounding. How is it possible that there were SO MANY stars and so many great matches - yet today - it's downright unwatchable?

How does this happen?

As I suspected...These guys can't perform when the lights are on and the cameras are rolling like a flaccid pron star. Those promos cut by @Franknbeans left a worse taste in my mouth than the garbage struggle meal he named himself after. :smh: so rudimentary and boring beyond belief. And you probably use Bar-S franks...I seen those the other day while shopping. Nothing but filler with very little actual content. :smh: you couldn't even be a Main Event Heel on Main Event.

And the Newwwwww WWE World Heavyweight Champion..... Fenn Balooooooor!

Yeah, he's not going to make it :smh:

Compared to Steen and Kenta? No.

Steen has been the king of ROH for the last few years. Kenta has been one of the most popular wrestlers in Japan for the last decade.

Tyler Black's popularity NEVER matched how popular Steen was.

What Tyler Black was the roh champ he was just as big as steen
Popularity wise? No way. He might have achieved as much success but that doesn't mean anything. No shots fired, but Miz has achieved more success than Daniel Bryan has but Daniel Bryan is world's more popular than the Miz.

Steen has been dubbed "The King of the Indies" by many many people. I never once heard that about Tyler Black.

Bringing up Breeze, Zayn, and Neville might be one of my favorite moments when it comes. Because it will truly be the arrival of NXT.

Man unless Stinky Socks dude posts his sources, don't believe what he says.

This dude typed a new name for Devitt and yall dudes are in here having heart attacks. Didn't ask that man for a link or anything

-With WWE Hell in a Cell still a month away and no matches announced for the show as of this writing, WWE reportedly has the three top matches for the show planned out.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view will feature John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose in the opening match, with the winner going on to face Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell. The loser of Cena vs. Ambrose will wrestle Randy Orton later on the show, also inside the Cell.

There is a lot that can be taken from these planned matches. Clearly, the absence of Roman Reigns has created an opening for Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to be featured more prominently. WWE began teasing tension between Ambose and Cena on Monday’s RAW. Ambrose wrestling Cena on pay-per-view in a Hell In A Cell match shows the company is committed to give Ambrose a chance to prove himself as an upper-card singles star. The fact that the winner of that match goes on to face Seth Rollins (with Randy Orton being the consolation prize) shows how management currently views those two competitors.

As noted earlier, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar is not booked for the show.

I can dig this :pimp:

Let's see if i can find it in a podcast. I'll pm you, then you can try and force us to watch it.

-The word making the rounds these days regarding Total Divas is that Vince McMahon reportedly does not want anyone on the cast of that reality show to hold the WWE Divas Championship. People who know Vince, however, claim that this is one of those Vince “rules” that could change at any minute.

Speaking of Total Divas, it is said that there is a lot of booking frustrations regarding the reality show recently. McMahon reportedly goes through “phases” where he wants the storylines on Total Divas to synch up with the storylines on RAW, however the reality show is taped so far in advance that it has become problematic in that there are communication issues as to what content airs when and people have trouble all being on the same page.

-As noted earlier this week, as a result of Roman Reigns needing unexpected emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia on Saturday, the script for Monday’s RAW ended up being heavily changed very late in the normal process.

Apparently, Vince McMahon decided to re-write the entire show at approximately 6:30pm on Monday evening. When RAW began on Monday night, the WWE creative team was reportedly still in the middle of writing the show and finishing up the script, despite the fact that the live broadcast had already started.

:smh: at Vince

Not bad.

-As of last week, the plan for Roman Reigns over the next several months was to continue building him up, with him going on to win the 2015 Royal Rumble and challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31.

Due to Reigns’ emergency hernia surgery, the recovery process will keep him out of action for at least a few months. However, it is believed that even in the worst case scenario, Reigns will be back in time for the Rumble, meaning WWE can continue ahead as planned with their idea of pushing him going into next year’s WrestleMania.

It’s worth noting that with Reigns on the sidelines, a major opportunity has opened for Dean Ambrose. While Ambrose was already scheduled for a big push, he will now be used as the #2 babyface in the company behind John Cena and his career is now on a faster track than it would have been had Reigns (and Daniel Bryan) stayed healthy.

Along with Reigns returning in time for the Rumble pay-per-view, Daniel Bryan is also expected to make his WWE return around the same time.

Another WWE Superstar that is expected to return in time for “WrestleMania season” is Batista, possibly returning to do his “farewell run” with the company, now that his Hollywood career is taking off.

Not to mention – Kurt Angle, Bully Ray and Jeff Hardy could all be free to work for WWE by WretleMania season.
