Damn stopped following wrestling for many years but would still watch parts as I flipped through channels and shawn michaels was on. Dude was my favorite wrestler growing up. His hell in the cell and casket match with undertaker were my 2 favorites matches.

Didnt a shawn michaels dvd release not to long ago?

True that.
The only solid reasons why wrestlers would jump ship to TNA are:
no extensive traveling
no house shows
lax drug testing
no HHH and/or Vince
Shawn doesn't seem to share situations like other TNA stars, Flair's money problems, RVD and Kendrick's love for

, Meth Hardy, etc.

I doubt JR would go to TNA, but if he did, I hope he replaces Mike Tenay.

If the wrestling industry ever wanted to try the first "First Death Match", first one to die loses, I'd like Tenay and Cole to be the first participants

3:03: Batista barely kicks out after 2.93 seconds as the crowd groans in disbelief. Solid match so far. OK, here's the one thing that killed Cena's chances of ever getting 100 percent approval from fans: He wears jorts. Can you name one person in your life who wears jorts? The cynical side of me wonders if Vince McMahon knows this -- hence, an early jorts recommendation for Cena and the knowledge that he'd be a polarizing WWE star for the next 20 years.

BS is always funny. Some excerpts:
Some sad news: After nearly two decades of top-notch wrestling, Triple H is edging dangerously close to the Hulk Hogan Mammary Zone, when great pecs suddenly morph into what look to be bad breast implants, depending on the position of the wrestler's body.
CM Punk's entrance speech got the crowd inordinately riled up; they just showed a 14-year-old fan jeering him and giving him two passionate thumbs down How dare you tell us that our wrestlers can't use drugs! YOU NEED TO GO DOWN!
During a conversation about Batista breaking Cena's neck two years ago, Striker utters this beauty: "I can tell you from experience being in the ring that your neck means EVERYTHING to your success." You know, as opposed to the other sports.
Things wrestling and porn have in common, Vol. 78: An inordinate amount of guys in their 40s who have the long-stringy-sweaty-hair-while-balding-in-the-front thing going. We're seeing two of the greats right now.
(Other porn/wrestling parallels include individual gimmicks; finishing moves; a preponderance of pseudonyms; illegal drugs; a booming DVD market; pay-per-views; tattoos; horrible acting; artificially enhanced bodies; premature deaths; a lack of college degrees, writers and directors; and scenes that vary in length and can include anywhere from two to 30 people. Read more in my upcoming book, "Columns That Could Never Ever Run on ESPN.com Under Any Circumstances.")

A quick Michaels story: When WrestleMania XIV took place at the Boston Garden, I got press passes and brought my buddy Birdman with me. Michaels wrestled Steve Austin in the main event with Mike Tyson as the referee, but his back was profoundly messed up thanks to two herniated discs. There were rumors that the Heartbreak Kid might bow out. He didn't. During the match, you could see Michaels gritting and wincing through every bump. Austin pinned him for the title, then Tyson decked him with a right cross as the crowd went ballistic. They drank beers, toasted the crowd and left the ring. The event ended. Even the lights dimmed to signify things were done. Time to go home.

Not yet. Birdman wanted to stick around to see how injured Michaels really was. He had been lying in the ring during the entire Tyson/Austin celebration, unable and unwilling to move. Once the event ended, Triple H (his best friend) and Chyna (their "valet") scurried over to help him backstage. With the cameras off and nobody watching, Michaels scraped himself off the canvas, then stood in place for a couple of minutes. Finally, the three of them started moving toward the exit -- slowly, painstakingly -- with HBK's arms draped around his two friends. Only then did we realize how much pain Michaels had endured.

Shawn Michaels didn't wrestle again for four years. That's how long it took his body to recover. Was that night worth it? Only he knows. Twelve years later, he wrestled a monster farewell match and announced his official retirement one night later. We've seen a handful of phenomenal wrestlers and phenomenal performers over the years; only Ric Flair and Michaels can say they were both at once.

R-Truth came out prancing and singing his hit song, "What's Up?" The lyrics go like this: "Shshshn cnbcnsbdb fhdehsh fhdhs dhdhan dbdjdndjd dbdbdbdbdb shshsnhs ffrhdhhjs xbcxbbffgfhhj WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP? WHAT'S UP?"

After WWE Monday night RAW last night, Edge beat Chris Jericho by DQ then speared him after the match. When Edge left Jericho began a promo. Triple H came out pedigreed him and gave him sweet chin music.

Triple H did the HBK pose at the top of the ramp afterward. That was a wrap!

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT THIS WAS A JOKE LOLOLOL

OF COURSE IT HAD TO BE JERICHO THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE IN THE RING WHEN HHH WAS DOING HIS TRIBUTE TO HBK.

Too. Funny.

Saw this on ign:
"I know there are a bunch of us that still want to see Christian and Edge interface somehow, either as partners or foes. The inside word from the AXXESS weekend is that Edge told a crowd of people that he was told by Vince that no one remembers Edge and Christian as in it's not worth revisiting. By that logic, no one should remember Bret Hart either."

All hearsay, but believable considering Christian was never over with Vince

Anyone notice that in the opening vid for the WWE shows, they took out hulk (obviously) and replaced it with dibiase AND they put in the ultimate warrior?

Yea, I noticed Dibiase yesterday, but I think UW was placed there since he and WWE signed a merch contract I believe.
They also tried to get him to agree to HOF this year, but didn't pan out.

So I haven't watched wrestling for about 2 years. Seems I missed out on HBK retirement which totally sucks, but I'm also very interested in the CM Punk straight edge gimmick as WWE actually allowed him to bring over something from his independent days. It kinda sucks how things haven't really changed since I stopped watching.  The only new faces which are now semi-stars would be Legacy, Swaggers, Sheamus, and Evan Bourne. but I'm still not sure how big they really are since I only saw them on the WM card.  It also looks like the same big stars are still the same as it was 2 years ago with Christian still being underbooked sucks.  How worth would it be to pick up things again now?

Spoiler [+]
- Two of the feuds that are scheduled to continue from WrestleMania are CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio and Edge vs. Chris Jericho.

- Tonight, WWE will tape this week's NXT and SmackDown shows from the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Tonight's NXT show will feature the first round of voting by the NXT Pros. As for Friday's SmackDown, no matches for TV have been announced yet but WWE is teasing more between Vickie Guerrero & Beth Phoenix. The advertised dark main event will be Edge and The Undertaker teaming up against CM Punk and Chris Jericho.

- The WWE Hall of Fame special which aired on USA Network did a 1.3 rating, with 1,773,000 viewers. (Source: PWInsider.com)

- With his big WWE Title win on Sunday at WrestleMania, John Cena won his 9th World Title in WWE, tying with The Rock

2:10: I'm rooting for Edge for three reasons:

A. He always has the same crazed look on his face that Matthew Lillard had in the last 10 minutes of "Scream." They even look alike.

B. I've always enjoyed his entrance music. On this day … I see clearly … every-thang has come to liiiiiife … It's just plain catchy.
C. He had enough success that he adopted a second nickname/gimmick as "The Rated-R Superstar." I've said it before, I'll say it again: When you have a nickname for your nickname, you know you've accomplished something in life.

SMH at where wrestling is at now....you got the older cats who were stars who put in their time, went into their 30's before ever seeing a title match Now?

John Cena wins it 9 times before his 33rd birthday.

They're gonna DESTROY Flair's record (16).

Bet HHH (13) is gonna rack up as many as he can before he hangs 'em up since Cena's gonna have an open lane...

@ that CM Punk video. Imagine how much crowd reaction a Punk vs. Orton feud would do now?
