Wrestling Thread Jan 14-20 | 1/17 TNA Impact Wrestling - Bully Ray and Brooke Hogan WEDDING!!!

- Several sources have reported that the WWE is giving a three-day tryout to Ring of Honor stars Mark and Jay Briscoe, as well as Sami Callihan and Ricky Reyes.

I wonder if Punk is advocating for these indie dudes backstage or if they're just getting chances because of Punk and Byran's success. Either way, glad to see some young talent getting a chance.

This right here. A few years back, HHH would crack jokes on you if you was an indy wrestler.

- As noted, WWE Legend Superstar Billy Graham was hospitalized earlier this week due to double pneumonia. NetNewsLedger.com reports that Graham’s wife says he has began to show signs of heart failure. The North Phoenix Heart Center’s Amy George posted the following about Graham’s heart condition on his Facebook:

“Atrial fibrillation is an electrical problem with the heart where ectopic electric pathways are formed making the top of the heart fibrillate instead of contract. It can go up to 400 beats per minute. Lucky the heart is smart and it only sends some of the signals to the bottom of the heart. Patient’s usually present with a heart rate in the 120-140 range. Eldridge goes in and out of this rhythm. He has occasional episodes where his heart rate will become irregular and fast. This can cause shortness of breath, dizziness or lightheartedness and sometimes even chest pain. I placed Eldridge on two rate control medications so that he can go in and out of the rhythm and not have the fast rates. He is also on aspirin as a mild blood thinner. His has no coronary artery disease and his heart muscle is strong. Once again, this is purely a rhythm problem that the incidence increases with age. If he fails rate control medications or is unable to tolerate medications, atrial fibrillation ablation is an option.”

WWE has at least shown an interest in actually buying ROH to be part of WWE Network.  I hope this doesn't happen, because it will just turn into another ECW.

Sad news.  Hopefully the meds work out for him.

:lol @ Jim Cornette and Brian Christopher on the mic were gold

:lol i remember this vividly. During this time they kept those recurring undertones of Lawler & Christopher being related every week, toooo funny

A slickly blatant finger :lol If you watch the vid where he does that, there's maybe 3 guys in the crowd who all have a different reaction, 1 of which points at Orton like "HEYYYYYY!!!"

Deek - thanks for responding to the PM

District of Columbia All American - more audio stuff pls

I just signed a contract this morning with my trainer Pablo  (i think he played Babu in WWF very briefly in the mid 90s)

basically stating im "his guy" and if i make it to WWE or TNA, he gets 5% of my salary yearly.

i mean....the chances of me making it to the top are slim to none, so i figure ill just cross that bridge if i get there.

a couple of his guys are getting FCW/NXT tryouts next month as well.

one of them (i just know him as JB) is going to be getting a Gutcheck tryout (the preliminary tryouts prior to being on the actual contest on a taping) next month as well.

Worked on spots and bumped for about 4 hours today. Lot of rope runs as well, back is sore as hell.

Been alot of fun, getting some strong insight into the business. the political aspect of it especially.
