Wrestling Thread Feb 4-10 | 2/7 Impact from England - Sting/Bully v Aces & 8's

Anybody play WWE '13? The attitude mode is straight PIFF. This is what I grew up with man, I remember the Taker Mankind HIAC match like it was yesterday. Me and my brother "watched" on the fuzzy screen bc our parents would never spend money on PPV. Audio was solid but every minute or so, you would get that clear image.
It's fun but trash compared to past games. I was playing the Attitude match with BA and Road Dogg vs LOD and had Road Dogg run towards the barricade the whole match. I was forced to finish the math with one guy because of that glitch. Not to mention the graphics are terrible and gameplay is a step down from the the ps1 Smackdown games.

Bruno Sammartino, who has been making the media rounds before his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame, spoke with the Busted Open radio show on his relationship with Vince McMahon, who he'd like to induct him, and much more.

Bruno went off on internet fans and the speculation that he would have nothing to do with the WWE CEO and Chariman. "Absolute lies. I resent people writing these things when they have no idea what the heck they are talking about because there is no truth to it at all." He actually seemed quite positive when reflecting on his past issues with McMahon, stating "I will criticize you if you deserve to be criticized, but I will praise you when that’s proper. He has made all these changes and I praise him for that. I have not talked to Vince. I have not seen him. But when the time comes, probably when I get there, I’m sure a meeting will be held. I will be glad to meet with him and have conversations with him."

For now, Sammartino seems content to allow Triple H and the WWE to decide who inducts him into the Hall of Fame this April, but listed friends and rivals such as Dominic Denucci, Ivan Koloff, Bill Watts and Larry Zbyszko as people he would like to see do the job. He also mentioned that in his talks with Triple H, he requested a physical Hall of Fame building be constructed, and noted that it is definitely "down the road" but "in the works".

I suggest EVERYONE listen to Bill Simmons' podcast with Arnold Schwarzenegger

They talk about

Him sneaking off of the military base to compete in the Jr. Olympia contest
Famous athletes he worked out with in the 70s. (Chuck Norris, Sonny Liston, Wilt Chamberlin, Superstar Billy Graham)
A lot of stories about Andre the Giant and Wilt Chamberlin
How people used to be ashamed of admitting that they worked out
How lifting weights was something that athletes were told to stay away from due to ignorance
How lucky he was that he has done all that he has done
Talks about his movies.

One of the better BS Report interviews but you know I view the BS Report as the Gospel.

From a House Show last night:

* The Miz & Ryback b. CM Punk & Antonio Cesaro. Ryback got the win, pinning Cesaro. During the match, The Miz botched a stalling suplex on Punk and dropped him almost straight on his head. Punk rolled out of the ring and was being checked by officials for a few minutes. He was slow getting back to his corner and even went to the wrong corner at first. He was visibly shaken up and was much slower than normal in the ring. After the match, you could tell it had an impact on him.

Way to go Miz, hopefully it's nothing really serious.

"@WWEAJLee: @BigELangston You're like a sister to me." Does that mean we have to pillow fight and share undergarments?

A.J. ‏@WWEAJLee
@BigELangston For the last time, I don't share my underwear, so please stop trying to steal it out of my luggage.

@WWEAJLee This verbal repartee has quickly turned for the worst. If only there was some sort of swift exit I could make...Look! a puppy--

MIZ! :x

I'm guessing he thought he was strong enough to hold him up?

Rough week for the miz. He seems burned out. At this time, on the road to wrestlemania, he needs to stay focused. Mistakes happen, but he needs to keep his game tight.
