Makes sense to me.

* Vickie Guerrero comes out to a ton of heat. They have to turn up her mic. She says that neither Shawn Michaels nor JBL should face The Undertaker. Vladimir Kozlov comes out. There is so much heat it is hard to understand what it goes on. It appears Kozlov is challenging the winner of Shawn Michaels vs. JBL.

He hits Twist of Fate on Jeff. The referee ends the match in disqualification. Matt gets on the mic and says he wants Jeff one-on-one next week. Edge spears Jeff and poses to take SmackDown off the air.

@ turning the mic up and it's still hard to hear what's going on...

I wonder if they will put the strap on Christian next week? Seems kinda soon, but I don't know why else he would of went to ECW.

Spoiler [+]
Miz and Morrison can get both tag titles next week? Woah
Kozlov facing winner of jbl and hbk? Plz dont let a jobber to the stars face taker at Mania...

I no longer read spoilers for specific shows, it's just kills the episode for me and I lose interest. I'm gonna watch ECW tomorrow and probably getrhough it in a quickness on my DVR if it's boring. Hopefully Smackdown will be as good as Raw this week and continue to further develop those Wrestlemaniastorylines

Spoiler [+]
I heard they were gonna unite the tag tltles. I think it's a good move on the WWE. Koslov hell no he can't get Taker at WM25
smh.gif

^^ They should wait for mania for that. It gives an extra match, and gets guys that probably wont be on the show on there. Plus, it is a good time to dosomething that big, even though they dont seem that big anymore.

Wait, wasnt last night's sd taping a double? There is no mention of the second taping, and according to the live events page, there is no live sd tapinguntil march 3 in uncasville ct.

Smackdown! Spoilers for 2/27 Edition

Spoiler [+]
Next week's edition of SmackDown opens with Vladimir Kozlov vs Undertaker and Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy being announced for later in the night.

John Cena opens to mostly cheers by calling out Edge. He asks for a World Heavyweight Championship re-match. Edge accepts, but Vickie comes out and says Edge won't be competing tonight. Cena charges but Vickie says something. I can't hear because there is so much heat on Vickie. She introduces Big Show as his opponent for tonight instead.

Carlito & Primo vs. The Miz & John Morrison for the WWE Tag Titles

A ton of Missed spots took the crowd out of it. The Bellas come out and look fantastic. Carlito hits the Backstabber on Morrison for the clean pin. The Colon's leave with the Bellas.

John Cena vs. Big Show

Huge pops for both athletes. Great long match with offense back and forth. John Cena hits the Attitude Adjustment and then Edge runs out. He slides in and out of the ring without even touching Cena. Very weird spot. Cena looks at Edge and gets the KO from Big Show. High elevation Showstopper for the pinfall victory. Edge gets in the ring and poses over Cena. Edge is limping noticeably.

Undertaker vs. Vladamir Kozlov

A very long match that was boring in spots but the crowd firmly behind Undertaker. Kozlov botches snake eyes twice. Surprisingly clean pinfall victory for Kozlov, however, after he reverses Old School into a powerslam.

Jeff Hardy vs Matt Hardy

Matt out first, then Jeff comes out in street clothes. Jeff on the mic says they've always been together and that they will always be brothers. Matt says he is not his brother. He goes on a long semi-shoot about how the fans love Jeff more and how it is about Matt this time. He says the fans wouldn't forgive Matt if he committed Jeff's sins. Matt blames the fans and Jeff for his mediocre career. (Way to throw the ECW championship under the bus huh?) He says Jeff is all hype. Matt says fight me but Jeff refuses. Matt slaps Jeff twice but Jeff walks away to a mixed reaction. There is no match.

Shelton Benjamin vs. Chavo with MVP at ringside
Shelton throws Chavo into MVP at ringside. Taunts MVP then gets cradled for the victory. No one in the crowd knew it was a three count. Shelton hits the Drive By as Shelton looks stunned by his defeat.

Dark Match Main Event

Casket Match between Undertaker & Big Show

The match lasted literally a minute. Both wrestlers had long matches beforehand and looked exhausted and uninterested. Boot by Undertaker, Big Show hits the mat and Taker rolls him into the casket. Good Night!

Biggest Pops:
John Cena
R Truth
Umaga (Seriously)
Undertaker
Jeff Hardy

Most Heat:
Vickie Guerrero by far.
Matt Hardy
The Divas tag match (It'll be interesting to hear the edit)
R Truth being taken out
Jeff Hardy (Deciding not to fight)

Very weird episode of Smackdown...sounds like a lot of stuff went wrong.

Spoiler [+]
According to a well-placed source in WWE, the following matches are being talked about for WrestleMania
25:

- Hulk Hogan vs. John Cena

- Triple H vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match)

- Edge vs. Big Show (WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match)

- Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker

- Chris Jericho vs. Mickey Rourke

- Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy

Regarding Hogan vs. Cena at WrestleMania, I was informed about the possibility of such a match on Monday night from a source within WWE, which is where all the Internet rumors on Hogan started. It has not yet been confirmed, but there has definitely been some back-and-forth between Hogan and the company about the wrestling legend doing the match.

If Hogan doesn't go through with the match, Cena will simply face Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. But if Hogan ends up going through with the match, Edge will square off against Big Show as they already have a program in place.

As far as a Chris Jericho vs. Mickey Rourke match is concerned, WWE definitely wants to go through with it, but it remains to be seen whether Rourke himself comes through. Right now, Rourke is publicly saying he's not doing the match, but company officials expect him to change his mind following the Academy Awards. If Rourke goes through with the match, a boxing match is expected to take place with Ric Flair in his corner. However, WWE has a back-up plan in place should Rourke not go through with the match.

During the build towards WrestleMania, Chris Jericho will continue to run down a wrestling legends. WWE is looking to do some sort of scenario where Jericho takes on several legends in a match at WrestleMania.

I was disappointed at first that it wasn't going to be a Jeff/Christian feud but I honestly think Jeff/Matt will be better. I am hoping Jeff and Matt haveamazing chemistry together in the ring and can pull off a classic. Not to mention their inevitable match at Mania will be reminiscent of Brett vs Owen.

Just read your post so I'm just now commenting on it, but I honestly don't know how dull these matches really were. I was at No Way Out on Sunday andThe SD Elimination chamber was such an exciting and great way to kick off the Pay Per View that I think these matches just got lost in the shuffle becausethere was no way they were going to live up to the opener. I want to disagree with the order of the matches but I can't think of how else theyshould've been placed on the card.

It's weird to see that WWE is treating Christian like a "new" superstar (e.g. Kizarny, Tyson Kidd, ) rather than a "returning" superstar (e.g. Chris Jericho). Correct me if I am wrong, but I feel Christian and Jericho left the 'E' fairly close to the same time... Christian has new music, new ring attire, well, updated ring attire, (although I think I remember some lawsuit WWE faced with the whole "Captain Charisma Logo," but I may be wrong) and after tonight's "Unprettier" I could've sworn I heard Matt Striker say: "that's a move that Christian likes to call the **Kill-Switch."

When Jericho came back he was quickly thrown into the main event scene vs. Randy Orton, which didn't really take off quite well, then he went into the mid-card for a bit winning the Intercontinental Title, then went right back into the main event scene winning the World Heavyweight Title and having a tremendous feud with HBK which cemented Y2J as one of the top heels in the business today. Seems to me Christian is being punished for going to TNA. Being put on the "B" show i could see but the "C" show come onnow.

Watching ECW now for the first time in months. Tyson Kidd really is going to be a big time wrestler. He should be ECW champion in a few months. Nattie alsolooked pretty good with pink hair. Something about chicks with pink streaks turns me on.

edit: Wow I expected Mick Foley to be inducting Terry Funk

Owen was gold with his slammys. I don't understand why it was saidby writers that they couldn't let Santino win any slammys because they didn't fit his character. He definitely could've taken the Owen route and itwould've been perfect.

Anyone going to Wrestlemania? I'm contemplating making the trip to Houston. Not sure what kind of tickets are left though.

If I could be serious for a moment...

Theme of this week...short and sweet.

- Randy Orton officially has "NO CHANCE...duh duh duh duh duuuuuh duh duh" of winning at Wrestlemania.* And everybody nose...knows why.

*unless it sets up my whole "Stephanie Turning/Heel Winning at WM" scenario.
- I don't know where this Santino-"Zoolander" thing is going, but does anyone else find it sad that Rico got put over more as a wrestler thanSantino does.

- If any other match besides Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker happens at WM25, someone needs to hit Vince over the head with a tack hammer because he is aretard.

- F what ya heard, Candice Michelle could still get my O face, word to Drew.

- Christian = Mr. Money in the Bank 2009. Bet the house on it.

- I imagine Spearing, RKOing, Super Kicking, Stunnering, or Clothesline from Helling (huh?) at least one person, everyday. Do I have a problem?

- I honestly believe Chris Jericho could feud with a broom handle and have it be one of the better programs of the year.

- After No Way Out, I have to believe Shane is done as a wrestler. He looked so old. Lets look back at perhaps one of his best (and one of my favorite)matches:

The full match is available on Youtube. Ross and Heyman on commentary. Worth checking out if you have a half hour to kill.

FTW!
