Wrestling Thread 5/19-6/1 | WWE Payback PPV - Shield v Evolution | Will Daniel Bryan Forfeit His Tit

Who is that sitting in the chair to the left in that TNA picture. With the boy shorts on?

-There is at least preliminary discussions within WWE of involving The Four Horsewomen (Ronda Rousey’s MMA “faction”) at the SummerSlam pay-per-view on August 17th in Los Angeles, California.

The feeling is that since it’s in L.A., and considering Rousey’s popularity, it would be a decent publicity stunt for the show.

Rousey has claimed to have interest in doing something at WrestleMania, but the timing didn’t work out for this year. She hasn’t ruled out possibly working at a WrestleMania in the future, such as next year’s, which takes place in California.

-There are reportedly plans within WWE to make T.J. Wilson (aka Tyson Kidd) into a masked wrestler. Kidd has already reportedly had the mask designed.

The feeling within the company is that Kidd is very talented, but has been marginalized for so long that they can’t really do much with him beyond the lower card.

So basically, they recognize that he's been buried so long that he can't even be pushed with his own face? Nice self-awareness from the WWE.

-Current plans in WWE call for KENTA, Prince Devitt and Kevin Steen to all report to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida in August.

In the case of all three guys, there would be hangups with Visas, medicals or other issues, but WWE is currently going with this as the running plan.

:pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Wow, i've been seeing these guys names pop up for awhile now. Maybe I should give these things they call "NJPW" and "ROH" a try. Seems like they have pretty good athletes in those organizations.

:pimp: and i'm down for the NXT party

-The upcoming WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view, which takes place on June 29th, is expected to feature only one multi-person ladder match for a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

While no one has been officially decided upon as the projected winner for this year’s Money In The Bank match, the front-runner is said to be up-and-coming WWE Superstar Cesaro.

Considering the fact that “The King Of Swing” has been earmarked for a big singles push, and is slotted as the number three baby face in the company for later this year, behind only John Cena and Daniel Bryan, it’s considered likely that if he indeed wins the Money In The Bank ladder match, he would go on to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion whenever he eventually cashes in his title-shot.

We laugh and joke and play about my dude not being able to connect with the fans but IF pushed, do you think Ziggler could be one of the more popular wrestlers on the main roster?

Please repond

Yes. Dude is a total package. He might not listen by going 110% ALL the time but that's something that can easily be changed.

100% yes because he puts on exciting matches, and can make anyone look good.

Ziggler won't be a "star" but he could have a few title reigns. To be honest though, he's probably on the Christian path.

Dude is one of the few people in the company who take pride in their craft and make a conscious effort to improve

Making others look good is a classic "heel" characteristic though, which is why Cena will continue to shine and Ziggler will always be a "what could've been". I think his time has passed and WWE definitely dropped the ball on him and unless I see otherwise, I don't see them trying to pick it up again.

Jim Ross doesn't think his time has passed. That is what made me bring it up again. Plus I felt like posting the video again.

Speaking of JR, I did not know Gail Kim married Restuarant Impossible dude/

I listened to one of his recent ones and was that Ziggs he was referring to when he said that "talent" should just shut up and keep doing their best or something? I like JR as an announcer and while I do agree with the things he says like stop with Iron Man matches and put actual time limits, it's clear that WWE & him don't really see eye to eye with the product.

Man you can count on Jim Ross mentioning one of these things on every PODCAST

Ziggler

Lack of rules in wrestling

Why are punches allowed

Heels don't do heel things

It is funny to me. I know folks get annoyed by it.

They would probably just keep running into each other flopping. Man imagine if those two dudes were NBA players SMH.

Seth Ginobili
Dolph Harden

I've only listened to three and that's so on point

Don't forget how he complains RoH is just a stunt show with no selling and that they need to slow down.
