Wrestling Thread 10/21-11/3 | Oct 28 RAW - Orton & Cena Are Champs | NTWT Secret Santa Q Due Tonight

CURTIS AXEL v Big E is canceled tonight due to an injury to CURTIS AXEL.  I don't know what CURTIS AXEL'S injury is.

Axel's injury probably has something to do with charisma deficiency

We heard from a few sources that Eric Bischoff is not backstage at tonight's Impact taping. Two sources told me that he is not expected to be back with the company any time soon. It's fair to say that a number of people are happy with that development.

The exact reason for his absence has not been relayed at this time.

One of Bischoff's duties is to oversee the creative end of the company so it will be interesting to see how the shows are booked tonight without his input. Bischoff had "stepped up" his role in recent months with the creative direction of the company and many would say that the product has taken a turn for the worse from a storyline standpoint in that time.

Vince McMahon could appear tonight but is definitely expected to appear on raw and all the way through WM.

- As noted before, TNA talents were told at Thursday’s backstage meeting that Eric Bischoff would be working from home going forward. Bischoff was not at Thursday’s tapings or last Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view. There are lots of people in TNA who expect to never see Bischoff in TNA again.

The new 24/7 campaign TNA is running is something that was pushed internally as far back as 2009. One of the ideas was to have one-hour weekly YouTube shows on the X Division and the Knockouts, leading to product interest and money generated from YouTube. There were lots of people pushing for the idea to be cleared and budgeted for but as soon as Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan were signed, the idea was shot down and went away. Hogan and Bischoff hated the concept, didn’t believe in it and were all about building up TV so they could compete with WWE.

The fact that TNA is now going with this concept and the fact that Jeff Jarrett is getting more involved and more power once again, a lot of people are thinking that this is the end of Bischoff in TNA.

- Morale was up after Thursday’s TNA talent meeting. The feeling after the meeting was that a lot of pressure was off the wrestlers as far as TNA going out of business goes. People are excited about the company going back to Universal Studios to tape Impact Wrestling. The feeling among many of the wrestlers was that they will have to suck it up and suffer for the next month or two and then things will get back to normal as far as what TNA used to be.

There’s a general consensus that the company over-reached, went down the wrong path and now they’re cutting things down and moving forward. There was even some talk on Thursday about bringing back some of the released talents in some fashion while they’re still looking at signing new talents.

--CURTIS AXEL blew out both of his hips in the tag team match on Raw on Monday night.  It was described as a freak accident.  That's why he's off the show today.

My survey is gonna be garbage...really hope Bawss Henry gets a good storyline when he comes back..

Haven't been in here in a hot minute...anyone copping WWE 2K14? Pre-ordered it today for 360.

- Conflicting reports have been published in the past several days discussing Ryback's backstage reception with WWE management. An exclusive source has told Wrestlezone that the latest report, alleging Ryback has heat and that he is dangerous to work with, is completely false. WZ was told Ryback is well liked amongst the backstage crew, including Vince McMahon himself having a lot of faith in him, and he is often chosen for overseas promotional work and dark matches because he is viewed in a good light.

The source went on to say the reports of any negativity towards Ryback were fabricated internal leaks to several news outlets, and they were coming from a person close to the situation, sent out under an alias. It is said the negative press for Ryback was designed to keep focus on Paul Heyman and CM Punk going forward, with Ryback being phased out of their ongoing feud.

The report was released in the days before tonight's Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, knowing it would create controversy and be a hot topic among the internet wrestling community.

Apparently everyone in Vince's doghouse bangs Stephanie to end up there
