I think because writing takes alot more work than other music genres, at least for some rappers. You have to write twice as much as most musicgenres, but like I said earlier this doesn't affect some, mostly the ones who write about the same thing all the time (Lil Wayne).I'd much rather have3 solid, amazing albums by Lupe than 10+ mediocre albums by someone else.Originally Posted by geminifly

think rap is basketball and its not, it's music. As much as I love it, hip hop can be wack in alot of ways.
