I'm with Noble on this one. Fish>>Blake. Blake is good had nosed player, but we haven't seen him in pressured ball. He smaller than Fish and don't know if he can really bang with bigger pg's

This pickup isn't bad I guess, would've preferred miller for the MLE, and just went with critt for our backup PG...........but ehh oh well, I'm sure mitch knows what he's doing(I hope)

Congrats Lakeshow. Blake is a solid pg IMO. I like his game; very unselfish and can knock down shots.

i still cant get over this. 4 million for that trash journeyman who ALWAYS gets traded cuz hes garbage and hes always the throw away in the trade... 30 years old...
But thats good ol mitch. got lucky with the gasol trade...
there isnt a need for a true point guard the way the lakers play and especially blowing money on trash like a 30 year old blake.

I watched most of Steve Blake's live when he was a member of the Clippers & he is as average as a point guard that you can have in the NBA. Doesn't do anything extraordinary, makes the obvious pass, doesnt penetrate well, can't create his own shot & his defense is vastly overrated by some of you. He is a great team guy & is decent when it comes to managing an offense, not the guy you offer a 4 year, 16 million dollar deal on the second day of free agency...

Found an article regarding the Steve Blake signing, apparently Fisher turned down a one year deal, and is in talks with Cleveland and Miami.

This is also the guy who signed Luke & Sasha to long term deals, traded Caron Butler for Kwame & wants D-Fish to take less than Steve Blake. The deals you mentioned were due to a cost cutting owner & 2 guys who had an affinity for the Lakers, they weren't due to Mitch's genius...
