Where do you see this country headed?

I'm also reading a book about the 2 countries ("ChinAmerica") and it has really got me thinking if our government should play a larger role in business. They shouldn't give those bailouts, but they should create national projects to stimulate the economy and jobs.

When we allowed the country to be run by Greed and the Corporate Power was the signal of our downfall..

One party & ideology is just straight up ignorant to present conditions of the world and just hand over more and more to the corporations and citing policy that has beyond a shadow of a doubt failed...

Another party is too scared of the other and doesn't want to be called "Socialist" so they run in the other direction of their ideological beliefs because they are (female sex organs)...

Capitalism was the rise & fall of this country... It brought us to prominence with the help of the government and is bringing us to our diminished current standard due to insufficient government help and where the government can help they have been inefficient because of laws compromising its ability... By no means were we allowed to make corrections to the things that capitalism largely fails at because like their God like view of Reagan, the right has a god like view of Capitalism because as kids they were fed all the nonsense ideas coupled with the cold war.. Like hiding under your desk will save you from a Nuclear %*%* Holocaust, and that Socialism is EVILLLLLLLLLLL when there were HUGE TENANTS of the US economy that were massively socialist.. They were fed this from a "SELF DESCRIBED NEW DEAL DEMOCRAT" named Ronald Reagan who made it big and got checks from large corporations to tell us how bad the government is and to stay out of capitalism.......

Money Talks is the saying and money talked its way into the government and sacrificed our ability to do anything innovative to save money on the bottom line..

Watched it yesterday. 2 hours long with commercials. It doesn't have to be because it makes the relationship seem more complicated than it is.  I was skeptical to begin with since it was going to be run by CNBC anyway which means the real truth between "why are so many things made in Chine" was going to be sugarcoated.  It's not a bad documentary per se. There are some great tidbits here and there.

The Dems and Repubs are no different on economic issues. Don't fool yourself into thinking that. Both have the same intent. They may take a slightly different approach but the end goal is the same.
They diverge on *%+!%%%$ (relative to the bigger picture) issues. Namely "Gays, Guns, and God".

I was talking to someone about this and they were quick to point out that the..I forgot whats its called provided many jobs decades ago, but was temporarily. I wonder what it would take to re-industrialize and if that is even feasible.

I have no idea where we'll be. I'm definitely weighing my options if things don't pan out here.

as an international studies major, focused on east asia, im pretty torn about the whole asian model for economics.  it can really go either way....  i do believe china will become the worlds superpower, but i really cant say when.
