Was MJ an average athlete??

Only on the 94-95 team

Wasn't quite his Portland self. Still very good

So it was a one man show though, especially 93/94.
yea back to back championships while MJ was trying to be a baseball player. Lotta folks take Hakeem as the best Center ever. Kinda hard to argue he wasn't the most skilled.

Hakeem was dominant for 3 years but hes not close being the best center of all time

Ewing with a similar cast took the Rockets to game 7 not having the home court

No he wasn't

But Ewing wasnt that far off. The points and rebounds per 100 are identical. Hakeem has slightly more blocks and steals

What Im saying is the cast was similar but Ewing doesn't get much praise

Bird is a top 5-10 player all time and Dirk is top 15-25.

You ****boys making it out to be like someone compared Vince Carter and Michael Jordan.

Sorry, but vince is not even in the same sphere with dirk. Vince carter was great in dunking and offensive wise good But his defense was bad, clutch and leadership only average. His prime was also quite short.

Dirk was 2 times in the finals and won 1 championship. His performance has been quite stable without many ups and downs. He is now even the 7th alltime scorer.
dirk is one of those underrated nba players in the USA Only because he's a foreigner And his playing style is not spectacular.

He wasn't comparing VC to Dirk man you missed the point entirely :lol

Kobe absolutely needed Shaq. Shaq didn't need Kobe. Shaq did it with Wade. Kobe couldn't get out of the first round until he got not one but two 7 footers. And after losing to the Celtics, he had to have Artest bail him out. Then Kobe of course took Finals MVP with a Game 7 shooting 6 for 24...

Kobe is in the discussion for most overrated player IMO. Jordan needed Scottie... as much as Scottie needed Jordan?

Kobe's a guy who couldn't win unless he had the most dominant ever, or two 7 footers. Otherwise he's a first round playoff exit.

I'll say I'd take Wade, McGrady from the Magic over Kobe and I'd slide Kobe in with Paul Pierce and Air Canada. Not trolling, not being so outlandish if you really take a breath and think about it.

Hakeem had the best post moves of any big man in my opinion.
Hakeem is on a different tier than Ewing. Ewing is on that David Robinson tier. Hakeem is on the top tier. He wasn't just blocking shots and destroying the paint, he was also agile enough to avg 2 steals per game. Hakeem is usually the only person I'll even argue about when "Best Center" convo comes around. Hakeem or Shaq (again, I don't mention Wilt because he played in the 50s

Oh you're one of those guys :lol

Bynum totally missed one of runs. Even when he did play he was only given a 7 PPG average. Mosgov is more productive than that. What did Bynum do once he left Kobe?

Artest was only there for one NBA FInals run

You are ignored the fact the Psu was a great big but he wasn't on a HOF path til he played with Kobe.

Kobe proved he could win multiple rings without Shaq and wasn't getting carried unlike Shaq with Wade.

McGrady, Pierce and VC weren't going help Shaq win rings they werent achieving much in the weak East

U could argue Kareem played against superior talent than Shaq and Hakeem did. Akeem also played alongside Ralph Sampson when he was drafted. But still played in the 2nd half of the 80s. The OG twin towers.
View media item 1411194 There were alot more "good" big men in the 70s and 80s than there was in the 90s and early 2000s.

dont see how people can say hakeem or shaq are the best centers ever when kareem is the all time scoring leader and went 6/10 in the finals, 6 mvps, 3 college championships, 19 time allstar
