HTC design is trash yo seriously...and google is checkin for them to make a nexus? they should be messing with samsung or huawei or LG or motorola for that contract. hell even xaiomi. HTC needs to go sit down somewhere.
hardware makers have been slacking. and its another reason why google needs to stop beating around the bush and make their own hardware. they blew it with motorola, and samsung getting $$ but they are really holding back an otherwise awesome piece of hardware with bull **** touchwiz.
moto is flames, but they don't market, no1 knows the moto x like they know a galaxy phone or iphone. and thats a damn shame.
something is gonna change soon, that nexus program can't last forever, its forever a niche market...they need to make a phone, that is pure droid, and (MAJOR KEY) have the software completely optimized for the phone. this would lower system req to run android buttery smooth, and thus lower cost, and strongly compete with apple

Back actually looks good. The render makes the chamfer look bad but actual shots look good.
Front is wack tho. Like is that the best they could come up with? No boomsound speakers and they went back to hardware touch buttons, so why is the bezel still so thick?
Hardware doesn't look bad, but compared to whats coming out nowadays its just boring as hell. HTC was once the best at hardware design, but they got comfortable and are trying to ride that same design language until the wheels fall off. Cant do that when you got devices like the S6/7, G4 (sorry that G5 is ugly), 6p, etc. Apple can do that with their iPhones, as most iOS fans are sheep and will buy it anyway. Android manufacturers just dont have that luxury right now. Remember when Sammy started that downward tumble after dropping the S5 which was a waterproof S4 with a bandaid on the back?
Im sure software/performance wise it will be amazing as usual (especially if the specs line up with the rumors), but HTC has to stop riding the M7 and switch the hardware design up. Gimme a curved screen, thin bezel, SOMETHING lol

That home button placement wayyyy at the bottom bothers me. At least there's capacitive buttons to fill the empty space.

The fact that they all carry the same general shape makes it all the more important what design elements set them apart. Otherwise we'd have a bunch of iPhone 6's everywhere.

I like it more in that angle and in black. Home button looks off though.
Personally, I still think the Sony phones have the best design, even thought the all look like bigger and thinner iPhone 4's.

i was about to go in on that S7 preorder. sounds like a good deal on that netflix for a year and that gearVR crap. but damn, i still feel sick paying $700+ for a phone haha
