Question for you guys, I've never been aware the beginning of a jump to a brand new OS, how long after the release will we see Roots for lolipop and custom roms?

Please respond

Im good on the price....only reason I had any interest in nexus line tbh. Vanilla android is straight and all, but meh

Get up to 6 hours of use from only 15 minutes of charging.* With a large 3220 mAh battery, you get over 24 hours of use from a full charge.

Yea it only makes sense Google doesn't undercut the Motorola by selling a bigger & better Moto X at a cheaper price.

That phone is beautiful though.

I really hope the Nexus 9 has expandable memory, I've missed that on my last few phones. If it does it will be my first tablet purchase in the future :D

Not to long after. We will probably have alpha builds within a week or two, root sooner. Nexus devices are very easy to modify, so it won't take long.

I am intrigued by that Nexus player too. Might can finally toss that AppleTV to the wayside.

Then sell my iPad Air and cop the Nexus 9......hmmmm....

atleast there are new colors for the nexus 5 haha. I have high hopes for L improving battery life for android devices.

I'm probably going to get the Nexus 6. I'm a little put off by the size though. With the new Moto X (let's be honest here...it's just a smaller Nexus 6) promised to get Lollipop, The pure version of the Moto X running Lollipop might be the way to go. It has the turbo charging as well. Until I see what the camera of the 6 has to offer, it's hard to imagine that being a huge huge upgrade to the insanely customizable Moto X.

There aren't new colors of the 5.

Well, it looks like I was wrong. The 5 didn't get an update. I'd still wager that it gets one eventually.

you're right those were just cases. I was crossing my fingers and hoping you were right. A bump in battery size would of sold me to go back to be honest. I think I might still go back to one just because. I will be getting a nexus 9 for sure. Selling the iPad today. :smokin

Yea the Moto X is great. Again though theres that battery size. But I hear decent reviews on the battery so I might not be to worried. Only problem is I have T-Mobile so the 6 may be the only option for me.

Are the "day 1" buyers changing their minds? :lol

Yea, I'll be waiting for a phone with Snapdragon 810 now.

Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order through the Google Play Store in late October starting at $649.

I am really thinking of selling the iPad Air for this Nexus 9 though

I could have swore folks were saying why don't Google just make a premium device :lol now they do and now they want the budget joint back

Damn $649, welp N5 is going to have to hold me down for another year or two.

Yea there was definitely a split. But people should of known that the budget device google was going to go away. It was their in on the mobile phone market. Now they have to go full steam with thier phones which means premium phones for premium prices.

I think the price tag isn't being put in the proper context. People are judging it based on the Nexus 5. This is a bigger phone and better specs. Compare it to a Note 4 and it's a steal at almost $200 cheaper.

I disagree. Google could never put out another phone and they would be fine.
