Valentine's Day 2k15: Vol. Simpin' Aint Easy

I've gone as early as 6 am to 8 am. The difference is just the amount of people there. The later you go you deal with less people because the flower shops picked up their shipments already but also the quality of flowers goes down but nothing crazy, the flowers still look good especially for a pretty good price.

Going to do this
I should be going to the warehouse area right ( the small street parallel to san pedro)?
not the flower shops on San Pedro

shipped some expensive *** roses to the job

diner that it

For you dudes in LA you can go to the flower district in downtown and get a dozen long stem roses for around $20. You just got to be up early and head down there.
How early?

Is it worth the drive/parking or just get some from Costco?

I didn't want to do this, but it seems I'll be away from LA for the weekend, So I'll plug my Top Secret Spot that I found in East LA / Boyle Heights area, that I discovered, because KING TACO had a crazy line..........

Gogo's Bistro
Address: 2415 East Cesar E Chavez Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90033, United States

Insanely good FOOD, and the price is $ on a level of $$$ in LA, + Your lady will be impressed that you know about this SPOT

Has anyone "convinced" their girl that VDay is a forced commercialized day of love and that you don't need the world to dictate to you what day you have to profess this love?
My girl is so perfect on V-Day
Her birthday is Feb 4th and mine is Feb 12th so we usually dont celebrate V-Day at all because SHE doesnt care about it.
Plus she hates red roses and boxed chocolates. She finds them to be too cliche.

I got her something the first year, after that nothing year after year. I love it.

Ill probably just watch the All- Star game undisturbed and get some yambs later on.

This.

I was kind of surprised that she hates VDay. When I first met her, she seemed like the girly girl type... but nope!

Bake cookies and sit with me to watch the All Star game is all she cool with.

We're going out of town so it's not any different than what we'd do on a normal weekend every couple of weeks so if I just totalled up the gifts for her, her mom, and my mom seems like around $100. Got her some lingerie, pearls, the customized magnets/ photo prints, chocolates from Russell Stover on clearance from Walgreens, gonna print some stuff at work so that's free.
Damn you buying the whole family gifts man.
The big *** Stover's thing was on clearance from 24.99 to $4.99, give her some of the prints I got from YorkPhoto of her daughter and a few of the "us" ones that where 9 cents each, total spent maybe 7 bucks on her mom. She lives with her mom so I see her every time I go over there, plus she's always around when I am on the phone. We are cool. Obviously money is no object buying for my own mom. I spent $70 total on the custom photo products (site is such a bait and switch, when you use a promo code they raise shipping prices), most for my girl but made some fridge magnets and things of her/us for myself. There was a see through lingerie thing on Groupon for 14.99, she already has a red one, got her the white one. They had a freshwater pearl bracelet/necklace set for 14.99 or 9.99, she loves pearls, her neice broke one of her's when I was over there. I also fixed her Sterling Silver necklace and cross and am going to surprise her with that. I got her the same chocolates. Got mom the same one. Got some pics and picture products for mom in the order, going to custom print (in Word, free) and write everyone a card with a heartfelt message. Even if it wasnt V Day, I would have done all of these things for each of them, just likely not all at the same time. Ditto with the sex really unless she is trying to introduce something new into our repertoire this weekend, which I doubt. If I see something I think a loved one would like, I pick it up for them most of the time.

Question, is it weird to ask a girl out for valentine's day if you've only hung out with her once but you already hooked up?

Lowkey for us.

We were supposed to go a resort but forgot about it in the process of me moving. He asked for me to make tacos for dinner lol. So that and go check out 50 shades of grey. I bought him a Stussy parka and I guess that's it. Our last vdays have been pretty expensive so it's good to chill

No. If you guys talk everyday and you know she dosent have someone else. If you want to chill with her go for it. But tread lightly girls usually have backups...(guys too tho)

Check out my plan...

I'm going to write a note... And include something from a date during the year... Like a receipt or a ticket stub...

Then, I'm going to take it to her mom's house with a rose...

She's coming into town tomorrow night, so I want to have it on her bed when she walks into the house...

Cheap, efficient, and something I can keep up for the next xx years we're together

What y'all think?

I'm just here to get ideas for V day and trip off of the scenarios..all id say for the simps.. dont go big.. its going to **** you up for the rest of the year.. do something small but thoughtful and dont set the bar too high..

Thoughtful but is that it?

Saturday I'm going to cook some food for us.

I got hit HARD recently with the cash flow... Dropped about $4k on various things in the past 3 weeks... So money's funny right now...

Oh ok understandable then. That will be nice. Try to grab some cheap candles maybe a little wine and dessert and have fun

Ironic you said that.

I switched to the radio station that does traffic for my area on my way to work and they had a segment on VDay and gifts and stuff. The lady that was talking about it said a quick cheap gift is you could go to a wine store and buy a bottle of wine that is rated as aging well. Put a note on it saying to not open it until this time next year. So it is showing that you are in it...at least for another year

A guy on there said what about a gift for this year and the lady said to buy 2 bottles and drink one this year

She also said that it is estimated that like $19 BILLION will be spent on VDay this year and the Millennial Generation is averaging around $213 for VDay.

She also said that men typically spend double what women do on the day as well
