*USA Basketball* WOMEN EARN GOLD v. ESP (101-72)! MEN EARN GOLD v. SRB (96-66)!

Well tbh the field of talent around the world is not anywhere close to the level of ours, but the level of teamwork/coaching/hardwork is definitely not as far off as some people think.

In team sports you always have a chance to at least keep it close if you work hard and smart.
In 92, 96, and 2000, the field definitely had no shot at gold, and they knew that the best that their hard work and talent could reasonably get them... was silver.

Now if you say "I meant TODAY. IN TODAY'S world of team sports, you always have a chance with working hard and smart," I will say 2 things:

- For the most part, yes.
- Definitely not in women's basketball. The field is fighting for silver, at best, and that's not changing anytime soon.

Idk man, gimme Bron and Steph on the squad and no game would be within 30-40 points

That was a great one to watch, finally a good matchup/different opponent

1000

None of them Golden State players stepped up in crunch time: NONE

That's par for the course. I was waiting for Draymond to kick Bogut in the balls. No Iggy to cover up their beta nature.

Guys like Bron, Kobe and CP3 really cover up for how disjointed these squads are on offense when teams don't turn over the ball.

Id be shook if we had to play AUS again. Even with this L they know they can win if they executed a little better at the end.

Gold might not be a walk in the park for USA after all. Curious if they play Lithuania or Spain.

Hey guys

Just checking in on everyone that was on the "close game? lolz maybe by 25-30 points instead of 50" wagon.
