Unpopular Opinion(s) Thread

i think the first thing we need to address and agree on is that the people hate public speaking & are afraid of doing it. reading off something gives a person more confidence to speak & in order to not do that requires a lot of time and effort.

next time when someone reads off something (there's more than one type of speech during a wedding btw), go ask them about it. of course, there is a variety of reasons why someone might read off something to give a speech but the minority of them do it because they worry about not capturing everything they planned to (i would argue those are the ones who typically have notes with them).
The thing w/ public speaking is that you have to be prepared. My bombed the **** outta a public speech one. Probably the most embarrassed I'll ever be for someone. Anyway, it didn't sit w/ her b/c it embarrassing af, so it motivated her to improve. Now if she has the information she's good. Phoenix ****.

The best way to perfect a speech at least for me is to write short meaningful bullet points to cover the most important stuff & ease into each other w/ the little details in between; like 2 or 3 13 worded sentences. People be tryna read the whole terms and conditions; nobody benefits from that b/c you're reading some **** you don't really know word for word, & your audience is zoned out bored.

I hate public speaking. I had to take a class in college a requirement and everytime i went there i felt like I was gonna vomit.
I used to feel that way when i was younger til i decided idg af what they think or say.

I remember one class in highschool, we had a presentation being graded solely on presentation skills and not content. Everyone up there reading, looking at the ground, fidgeting, hands in their pockets. I went up there with nothing and just talked a buncha ****. Teacher told me everything i said was completely inaccurate but i sold it  some of the others in the class were mad af 😂

The Matrix looked like a farfetch thing when it came out 20 years later & we're already seeing the base being set up for people to live in a digital world

What makes CFA more overrated than KFC/McDonald's/Subway?

Who hypes up or talks about KFC or Subway like that? Last time I saw/heard something about Subway was about their tuna not actually being tuna.

Mcdonalds...people talk about the fries and the ice cream machines never "working".

People camp over night for school lunch chicken sandwiches when a new chic-fil-a opens

Can't stand when people are overly nice with traffic rules, they cause more issues. Like I pull up to a 4 way stop sign with the idea of everyone stop and go in order. You waving me up before you isn't doing me a favor.

Bruh, my girl does **** like this all the time. I try to explain why she's causing more of a problem than she is being nice, but she is not hearing it

Just last year black people were flooding the streets pointing out the racism & fallacies in all these systems fast forward a few months there's black people wishing sickness, loss of jobs & even jail on unvaxxed people & swearing by everything the media says

Too young to remember but i wonder if 9/11 worked this well in terms of turning skepticism into full support for the gov to do whatever they want.

How so? I could see someone saying it's selfish. But looking out for you & your circles best interest over the interest of others is kinda hard to view as stupid.
looking out for you and your own has almost zero to do with accepting refugees.
you sound kinda scary … and that ain’t the way to live fam

When you yield to a pedestrian and you give em’ the wave and they wave back at you like “NAH, you go.”

???? Huh what does my views on refugees have to do with the overall idea of looking out for the best interest of yourself & your inner circle
