I'm gonna have to agree with the walk off. Jennifer Hudson is a tier 1 singer no matter how you try to slice it.

I know what babies can do to a women's body. Even a solid and focused workout regiment. That said, Beyonce's cheeks still seem unnatural.NT believes the only way a woman’s body can change is through surgery.
I did not so shame on me there. That said, are you implying singers and their skill level can be ranked solely on octave range? You know im talking about octaves right?
Nothing wrong with having some notes. In fact a lot of times memorized speeches come off as too robotic and don’t seem real. The real issue with the phone is it looks last minute and unprepared and the biggest issue: having to sit there and watch that mf scroll through their phone every 3 sentences.Just the image of someone reading their vows off their phone is cringe. Put in a little effort and memorize that joint.
But paper is fine?Just the image of someone reading their vows off their phone is cringe. Put in a little effort and memorize that joint.
Friend at a friends wedding I was at was giving a speech to the bride and groom during the ceremony. Got up. Went to notes on phone. Speech not there. Lol.Just the image of someone reading their vows off their phone is cringe. Put in a little effort and memorize that joint.
The discussion wasn't about using notes vs. Reading. People in here are turning their noses up at the idea of a phone being used PERIOD. Folks are turning their noses up at anyone not "coming off the dome."Big difference from people using notes just in case they miss something to people who straight up read off something & looking like they never practiced once.
Also, what do you mean by people hardly care?
Beyonce always been meh to me. Both in looks and musically
Someone in my top 10 that no one would probably agree with is Christina Aguilera. She has a voice man even as a kid like how did you sound like that 9 LOLWho would be in the Top 10?
Question for all.
Every generation has said the same about eras that came after.Music made prior to now is just way better than the crap on the radio now days. It might just be me getting old but i swear the majority of my most played is older songs not much current music.
Oh she definitely had surgery.I know what babies can do to a women's body. Even a solid and focused workout regiment. That said, Beyonce's cheeks still seem unnatural.
makes sense im in the washed thread alreadyEvery generation has said the same about eras that came after.
So we might just be getting old.
But thankfully we have access to everything ever created so even old stuff that we've never been exposed to can be new to us.
At least we aren't forced to listen to the radio anymore.

As far as a physical skill, vocal range is pretty much how its quantized. As far as what people like, thats a whole nother ziplock bag. I said all that say call some of these singers “weak”(I know that wasn’t the exact word used) wouldn’t be accurate. **** some of the “strongest” singers don’t eem sing popular music. Word to Tracey Thorn.I did not so shame on me there. That said, are you implying singers and their skill level can be ranked solely on octave range?
Music streaming and XM radio changed the game for me.Every generation has said the same about eras that came after.

Disagree. You yourself compared vocal range to a basketball player's vertical. Which I thought was a great analogy due to the fact that it does not encompass all tools necessary to be a great singer. Vocal control and pitch play a major part and is not something I feel is subjective. Timbre/sound is subjective would not be a fair tool for comparison, but a singer's ability to control the power/level that they sing portions of a song is certainly a skillset that varies from artist to artist. As far as a physical skill, vocal range is pretty much how its quantized. As far as what people like, thats a whole nother ziplock bag. There is no way you can say someone LOOKS like they've never practiced once when NERVES have to be factored into the equation. Someone could memorize and just draw a blank or get rattled by the crowd. Why isn't that being considered and why is it being dismissed?
People arguing against using the phone have stated it shows a lack of care/effort for the situation that the vows were memorized or weren't off the cuff. So When I said, "that means they don't care?" that was questioning that idea. (Question mark was used)
You could put all the care/effort into memorizing it and draw a blank when the moment comes.
As I mentioned before, a person wanting to make sure it is done "correctly" shows that they care.
Not this foolish idea that it must be memorized for it to mean anything.
How so?Music streaming and XM radio changed the game for me.
Variety. I can listen to what I want to when I want to, no commercials, no one crappy song every 15-30 minutes because that’s what the radio station thinks that I want to hear or some record label has paid money to keep in rotation. I can pick the music I want to listen to and stream it. Now as far as XM, I can pick from one of the channels that I like and if I hear a song that I like, then I can just add it to my Apple Music. How so?
for which ever reason it is done, make up does not look good on women, especially the way it is done currently
