The Elites look amazing...in those pics.
We all know when you walk in the store and see them on the shelf, and you take them down to get an up-close look, they won't look as good. I actually disliked how the Curry 1 F+F low looked in person.

I was a little underwhelmed by the F&F in person too -- I think more so because I like the standard anafoam upper better -- would have loved that pair I think if it was all white with the textile upper

It's not the colors that will change obviously. It's a simple case of "they don't look as good in person as they do in pics". Probably one of the most made comments on NT.
I've regretted plenty of purchases once I realized the pictures were enough for me and when I actually had the shoes I didn't really want them.

Are you sure it wasn the "Hype" surrounding the shoe and once you received the shoe you realized you really didn't want the shoe as bad as you thought?

I agree about the upper, but for some reason I love how they came out on the splash parties. Strange because I didn't like the dubnations and sold them although it was exactly the same across the board for all three shoes

I know "hype" is a phenomenon we all fall victim to at some point, and it doesn't just pertain to shoes or clothes. For me I know, I like things that are familiar to me, and in the past I've fallen for a girl because of just prolonged exposure to seeing her in different lights and situations, same as when you see different shots of shoes, on-feet looks, studio shots, etc. It also works the other way too. Something you might have loved at first sight you realize isn't as glamorous as you once thought, and you no longer care for it
The more you see something, the more solid your opinion of it becomes, you either like it more, or you don't. Simple as that.

Does footlocker.com charge for release day shipping on Curry 2's? I usually order from UA or FNL but I have a $15 VIP reward so the Elite cw for under retail is a must.
