your paying well over $30,000  a year to live inside of a small room in the business district

newark new jersey is 23 minutes away ...location is the most important

factor in real estate but you cant be giving up that much , you're living in a tree house

plus new york city has a world class public transit system , that doesnt necessarily mean location is void but damn

you like 12 minutes from harlem

the mta is garbage

 

not about that waiting for 15+ minutes for a ride life. MTR>MTA

NY Nters, so if you're in your mid-late 20s, got around $2700 a month to spend on rent and wanna be close to everything (girls, gym, grocery store, metro, bars, comedy clubs, good restaurants) what neighborhood are you choosing? LES? Midtown? UES? Harlem? Brooklyn?


Just looking for a cool spot, not rundown, not too hipster, but nothing too yuppie/bourgeous (sp?) tho, if that's possible. Was thinking about moving to the city for a year or so just to see what it's about.

im in brooklyn near the N,Q,R,D lines and it sucks. you want to know what first class public transportation is, go to hong kong where the waits are 2 minutes at all times.

Good look man, I've had a couple different people tell me about LES, and a couple about East Village too, I heard those spots are kinda gentrified now though? But I guess I might start looking around that area first.
