your paying well over $30,000  a year to live inside of a small room in the business district

newark new jersey is 23 minutes away ...location is the most important

factor in real estate but you cant be giving up that much , you're living in a tree house

plus new york city has a world class public transit system , that doesnt necessarily mean location is void but damn

you like 12 minutes from harlem

theres plenty of cities besides new york that offer

the same amenities ,urbanized living and oppurtunities

...for some people, myself included, a studio/one bedroom is all a person needs...

unless you have a family, do you need those extra bedrooms? you are only in one room at any given time...if its just a forever aloner or even someone living with their gf/spouse, extra space is a waste

yes rents are high but if a person could afford who gives a ****?...

$2200 back in'03... more than a decade ago

I'm currently renting my BASEMENT for $1500...

Preppy kids from the suburbs have the jobs that pay good and they got it to give...

New York Times had a article that says new Yorkers rather live in a hot neighborhood and eat ramen noodles than live in the burbs...

I don't blame them..
