Then I guess reasonable minds can disagree on that.

Because I feel like if someone from the future visited most basketball fans/media types in October 2010 and said, “you know this Heat team is going to win the title 2 out of 4 seasons and then disband”, the reaction generally would be, “really? That’s it?” and not “hey, that was a great result.”

This. One could argue that the answer about if The Heatles were a disappointment varies based on whether you use expectations based on the general sentiment October 2010, Vegas odds, historical evidence of previous dynasties/super teams or retrospect in 2020. Both the answer and the reasoning will be different for each.

Great point because I think right now it is a Free For All in terms of HOW people are viewing the situation.

Not at all.

When has what A single player and/or franchise dictated the actual odds/predictions of a Season?

I'll wait.

My point is yall want to hold LEBRON responsible for making a prediction and use that prediction as the actual odds of what was going to happen NO.

When TMAC predicted his ORL squad was going to beat the Pistons in the Playoffs, did that all of a sudden become the FAVORED outcome? No.

As I said, since WHEN did we take what Athletes say and convert those into "Vegas Odds."

Only when LeBron does it.

Makes zero sense.

You're being intentionally obtuse.

You keep trying to make it about what LEBRON said rather than the totality of everything surrounding the summer of 2010.

3 of the Top 15 players of the league in their PRIMES decided to all join forces together. The reigning Most Valuable Player who by the arguments of many was denied postseason success because he was playing with "bums." He was now going to be playing alongside arguable the best guard in the game at the time and a perennial front court All Star in Chris Bosh.

And they only ended up with 2 rings.

But no people are saying they underachieved only because LEBRON went out and said Not 1, Not 2, Not 3.....

Wade was already 29 when the team was formed. I think it would be a bit foolish to think that the team would've been at an elite level for much more than 4 years when the team's 2nd best player is going to be in his mid 30s and out of his prime.

Not to mention they had several very capable role players on vet minimums. After everything unfolded, I’d say they were slightly disappointing.

Your man was a heaping pile of trash on both ends of the court in the 2008 finals. That's why they lost. Just like Bron in 2011.

He played like his normal great self in the following years.

Man why you gotta always use that kind of language for Kobe?
It's always "pathetic" and "heaping pile of trash" and that verbiage doesn't seem to carry on to the other players.
You're my guy and I know that was a rivalry but damn man, it hasn't even been half a year.
