The Walking Dead - Official Thread

^^ honest question, with you feeling that way do you only watch to criticize the show?

No.

I watch because I tuned in since day 1 and while I never thought the show was amazing, it was entertaining enough. 3 season in though, the show has failed to live up to my expectations. I'll tune in for season 4 because I've invested this much time into it and it's something to watch on Sunday night.

Do y'all not understand what went down? Two words, role reversal. Was it the best ending, most action packed? No, but it made sense. I wanted the gov to get killed just like everyone else, but take what you got and enjoy it instead of pretending like you could write, direct, and produce the show
I could've.

Producing requires money.

You gonna have to deal with ppl not liking how this show has turned out. Simple as that. Nobody is attacking ppl who liked this crappy finale or season. You just coming off salty like you're somehow attatched to TWD.

I don't remember what happened to Jim did he not die? or does a gray border mean he turned and was never put down? or did the writer's just forget about him?

Can't recall if he was the guy that was dying that they left tied up to a tree on the highway  Think someone went back to kill him.

They left Jim to die since no one wanted to kill him. I pretty sure that they also gave him a gun so he could commit suicide.

I could be wrong.

im in season 2 episode 2, 1 question...did they find the missing little girl or the crazy dude brother yet who was handcuffed?

Did you not read all my posts or did you just want to try to sound funny/cool regardless? Why would I be salty about how a show turns out? LOL. I could not care less about the outcome of a shoe or its quality, I watch it for entertainment and to pass time on a lazy Sunday. My only complaint is y'all jumping on the thread to do nothing but bash the show. This is NT though, aka "JB quality sucks" **said while lines up for jordans** so I don't take what a lot of people say in here seriously

The Walking Dead’s Dallas Roberts on How Season Three Was Supposed to End

The Walking Dead’s Dallas Roberts on How Season Three Was Supposed to End
By Jennifer Vineyard

[Spoilers ahead.] Were the two-for-one deaths of Andrea and Milton on the season-three finale of The Walking Dead really hard to take? They were even tougher for the actors, who had to let go of their characters not once but twice after the showrunners scrapped the first ending shot and called the cast back for reshoots two months later. Dallas Roberts revealed the original season-finale ending to Vulture when we ran into him last night at the Broadway after-party for Nora Ephron's final play, Lucky Guy.
"I died four times," Roberts joked, referring to how his character Milton died a human death, then a walker death, through two rounds of shooting.

The original two deaths found Milton getting shot by the Governor, rather than stabbed, for his human death. And then for his walker death, "Tyrese kicked the door open, not Rick," Roberts said. "And Michonne and crossbow weren't there. And Milton's coming up out of [Andrea] with a chunk out of her. And Tyrese, I don't remember the implement, I think like a crowbar or a hammer, just took him out."

Images were released prior to the reshoots of this original ending, but how does a superfan tell the difference between ending No. 1 and ending No. 2? Roberts said look for Milton's glasses. "You'll notice that during the finale, he never had glasses on," the actor pointed out. "So if you see a still with him with glasses on, and blood, that's from the original [ending] that was shot."

Because Milton was just a "beautiful tertiary character," Roberts was okay with having to go through the death scene one more time. He felt worse for Holden, because Andrea was a core character, and for the actress to get the news, "that sucked for her in so many ways." And when they got the call that there would be a new version, "imagine her heart leaping in her chest" thinking maybe she wasn't being killed off after all, Roberts said. "And then they go, 'No, it's exactly the same, it's just a little different.' It was beautifully brutal to shoot those scenes."

Why are you so bothered by some of us not liking the finale. It's our opinion. And quite frankly, I believe some of us could do a better job bringing the Walking Dead to life.

The finale left us with nothing. But that leaves it open to go, hopefully, in a better direction with new writers in place. The finale had some good parts, but all sense was lost with Andrea being bitten by one walker. Just two episodes back, a walker held her to a tree as two approached, yet she managed to kill all three and escape. :smh:

Yeah I also didn't like that Andrea got killed by one walker while in the other episode she escaped a full horde and being pined up against the tree with a couple of them breathing down her neck.

I definitely think it was foolish of them to kill her off though, but I still love and enjoy the show and will watch next season.

I liked everything so far up until the finale on Sunday.

I guess it's because I'm not up on the comics and read them and expect everything to go how the comic is. I also, don't expect action packed episodes all the time either because even when you're on the run when you find a safe spot there will be down time and you won't have to fighting waves of zombies. Those safe places so far has been the farm/barn and the prison.

Like I said when they did the talking dead for the season 2 finale and showed a glimpse of the prison and Michonne the talked about all of that on the Talking Dead and Robert Kirkland the dude behind the Walking Dead said that the prison was going to be season's 3+4 and they won't be leaving that setting until maybe mid season 5 I remember.

They also said Season 4 is going to do flashbacks of characters before everything went down. So I'm guessing that it will be like how Lost was with flashbacks of characters and that will probably take up a lot of season 4.

They're not leaving that prison anytime soon... well I don't think so. If I was in that position I wouldn't leave it either. They had the right idea it is well secured and the could have grown crops and survived, but we'll see what happens.

Dead at that comic.
 yeah

best thing about the show now are the meme's making fun of the show.

only reason i watch....

anyway, looking forward to the season finale this sunday. they set it up perfectly last week. now we will finally get to see the thrilling conclusion to the woodbury-governor vs. prison-rick story. and perhaps they'll leave us with a cliffhanger so we'll actually look forward to season 4.
