Meeting with the owner of my AD today to discuss my mistreatment and to "assess the situation" (whatever that means).
Backstory...
My AD has 3 locations in town, only one carries Rolex.
A couple of years back, they moved their Rolexes to another location and my SA moved to their third location.
Prior to them moving, I was offered the first SD43 they received, a Hulk, etc. My SA took care of me and in return I would send her referral business.
Since then, however, I've been offered a grand total of zero watches.
Back in December, I was randomly at the mall one evening and decided to stop by the shop my SA worked at to say hello. The security guard refused to let me in, despite me telling him I was a client and was stopping by to see my SA.
The first and only time in my life I've been blatantly racially profiled.
I ended up writing them a letter and someone from corporate got back to me apologizing and saying they wanted to earn my business back.
I told them no problem, get me one of the watches I've been waiting 2-3 years for.
9 months go by and nada.
When the releases were announced last week, I texted my SA. Eventually the person from corporate got looped in and I was told when there was availability, I would be the first to know.
Not so fast, I told them; define "availability", because we all know these ADs keep watches for their VIPs and then the plebs like us get their scraps.
Have they been able to answer that question for me? Nope.
So today should be interesting to say the least.

AD getting real shady, my SA left the AD i bought my daytona, batman and cartier tank (all within a year by the way) and i am treated like sh*t when i go in there now and when i tell em i bought a daytona and batman there they look at me like im crazy for thinking i had a chance at buying one or that i could afford one so i couldnt even capiltalize on that “built” relationship
then th other AD where i bought the sub, explorer and op, SA stopped looking enthused when i come in because i havent bought any in a while but its like what do they expect when they dont want to sell me the watches i want even thiugh they have it on the safe?
keep us updated on your situation, i do wish we could rub it in their faces but they know too well that if we pass that there are no shortage of others that’ll snatch em ip in seconds

It is what it is. Supply and demand 101. Only watch I really want is a Pepsi, and I'm not losing sleep over it.
A Hulk would get flipped. A Batgirl would get flipped.
Time to sit back and wait for the economy to implode after the election in November and go on a shopping spree then.

From all these 114060 post (new version) think I'm going to have to pull the tigger and get me one, its nice and just has a nice simple touch to it, I barely wear my 16610 only because I'm having to change the date on it every time wear it and its due for a service its been 10+ years and losing 2+ minutes a day, should invest in a watch box winder too lol smh

my AD showed me all the colours they got in and they all look pretty awesome in the metal. Some a bit tackier than others though (coral and green namely) imo
I’d probably rank it (the first three have sizeable wait lists apparently).

I ultimately wanted one that was timeless to give to my daughter in 20 years. AD was kind enough to put my daughter’s name on the warranty card.
they had a super case no date sub lying around in the case but after seeing the new one, they look like bricks.

the actual colour of the green is a little off-putting. It could be better.
the lacquer treatment doesn't do it any favours imo.
the yellow and turquoise give off strong vintage Stella dial vibes that just work - practically the same shades too.

I also like the gold features on a stainless watch, it's a bit timeless IMO & I think it will age the best out of all the different iterations of that model. rose/copper hands & markers on a steel watch are also appealing to me as of late but only on sportier watches or especially vintage non restored watches (easier to read the approximate time on faded dial)
