Also I tried on the cycling Pelagos fxd the black/red version last week, that thing is nice in person.. I’m debating pulling the trigger just because how hot things are in these streets when you travel certain places
But I want to see the fxd gmt in person before I decide on anything

Yea I searched snoopy, but just saw general discussion
I got zero faith actually getting one from omega itself.. my local rolex AD in the Bahamas (John Bull) also carries omega but they’re not getting snoopy.. we also have another store that has omega but again they won’t get snoopys
A guy I know from our local red bar group got one but he had to go through a ton and got it stateside

I can't comment on the snoopy but the black and red black bay chrono is a super safe option as it's different enough from anything in the Rolex, AP, RM and Patek catalogue.

most boutqieus would get a handful a year, maybe one a month if they are lucky so its much harder for ADs to get one
lots of ADs are losing Omega too as they build more boutique and trying to be more exclusive
they are too focused on trying to be rolex when they are making a killing being the alternative

With how small circles are down here it would be easy as hell to get one.. but we don’t have an actual omega boutique.. none of the providers will ever get them
I am curious if we end up getting a boutique eventually down here
But yea you’re right the headaches Rolex has created with everyone in the market, the natural turn was to omega so zero clue why they would follow down similar paths.. and as we discussed previously, wasn’t a huge fan of how over the top they went with the moonswatch

Curious to see this blue in person.. I’m a fan of Lake Tahoe and Mojave
But did not like the oceana, thought the band had a weird dark jeans look in person
Not a fan of the price points for these though ($13,500 for that one)

yah im just not a fan of IWCs pricing, i want to consider the ingeneur 35 but $10.5k is just a bit much

I’m starting flying lessons come September and thought it would be nice little gift to myself after I got through a couple of the steps (like say my instrument rating or multi engine rating)
So thought getting an IWC would be fitting.. but for as much as I like those top gun models, ain’t no way I’m spending that for that
And with the ingenieur, thought they’d try to undercut the sun/gmt price.. but that all black 42 is $20,6.. and the stainless steel 40 is $12,3

also got the new brew metric lite, its smallish but it works for me (dont remember if i posted this already)
like the watch, the name brew still dumb
got to try on the ingeneur 35 as well but i even told the AD in his face its crazy to retail for $10,500 but it is a great watch and looked good but for $10k+ there are so many other better choices

i've said this to pretty much anyone who will listen. AD "promises" you ____ watch, if you buy x, y, and z. you develop a purchase history, and a year+ later and still no watch. now you spent for 3 watches you don't want when you could've saved yourself the time and probably money to just go grey.

this is where liking too much benefits me
i found an AD that sells Rolex along with GS, Tag, Omega, Tudor, Cartier, Zenith Breitling and even Nomos and Gerald Charles
and yes it still took a while to get my Explorer and Im still waiting for the Panda Daytona but I honestly have not regretted anything ive purchased from that AD
they also carry jewelry but i never bought those from them

Not going lie that whole game is going cause me to stick with my AD down here and what they carry that’s on my wishlist
