It's funny that people are so ready to dunk on omega that even things like reading comprehension go out the window.
"First Omega in space" is a drastically different statement than "First watch in space".
You're not the only one though. The comments are full of similar stuff.

I love omega but it’s like hey we have a moon watch and nothing else 99% of the time
The seamaster collection is derivative, the aqua Terra’s are cool but their lume sucks, and the deville’s and constellations are meh
Heritage and planet oceans are nice though

I wish they wouldn’t differentiate their men’s and women’s watches so starkly. I really like the DeVille Tresor line but 40mm of all dial is way too big for a dress watch like that (for me). And the 36mm option is quartz with obnoxiously large Roman numerals, aimed at women.
And everyone goes after Grand Seiko for being too thick but Omega suffers the same problem imo.
Then there’s the pricing issue… but I guess they see themselves as a direct competitor to Rolex (and generally have been) so they’re wanting to be up into that market.
Imo, Tudor has nailed down the price segment where Omega used to reign supreme.

other than the speedy pro, the only model i've even slightly considered purchasing is a SMP. the Daniel Craig teaser/leak/whatever you want to call it looks promising. i'd purchase a 40mm SMP no date on rubber as a daily beater with a discount. in a perfect world, they'd shrink the HEV back to the original size.

Recently acquired a Grand Seiko SBGW267 - a European exclusive ‘Japanese Calatrava’ 
Changed out the strap to a dark brown horween for the time being, as I like this as a more formal watch.
The back is gorgeous too

The “Japanese Calatrava” really is a beautiful dress watch. Wouldn’t mind adding a GS eventually. Still missing a true dress watch in the collection but I’m good with my AT and sub date for now.

I really like the FOiS, particularly because it’s <40mm. I especially like the new dial and curved sapphire crystal on this one.
Would need to see the faux aged lume in person though. I didn’t love the similar style on the IWC Spitfire hands, but it does look like it integrates more nicely on this Speedy.

Yeah I like it as because of the size and it doesn't have the asymmetric lugs as well. This new version looks really good with a grey blue dial, boxed sapphire crystal (that simulates heselite) on a flat link bracelet

im gon' go against the grain and say i dont like it
before i got my speedy, i really considered the fois but this one aint it for me, i dont like the bracelet they used, not a fan of the faux patina markers and its a shame to not show the movement
i like the hands but along with the missing crown guards, its really the only thing i like about it and i dont even really hate the crown guards on the regulars speedy anyways

My sub came back from service. An extended case of bad customer service from the AD meant instead of paying £930 I got it for free, and incoming Rolex merch. I'm liking the slightly slimmer lugs, the -2 secs per day not so much. My latest pickup also came in.

I don’t think I like it either. The fake patina looks horrible and the l2l is larger than the regular speedy pro. Will wait to try on in person, but based on pics I’m not a fan.
