the thread about nothing...

I come in peace as well. I'd say all of the above.

word. thx for clarifying. I definitely get you on the first 2. For the 3rd, I actually live in Brazil and the COVID situation here is a lot different then in the US, especially the rural and less developed areas. For that area, I would suspect it was more of situational negligence then choosing to have fun despite the pandemic. Brazil is top 10 countries world wide for vaccination rates and people are very mindful of the regulations put forth and there’s little resistance to vaccination as it is a regular thing for the avg Brazilian citizen. In the less affected areas I could see why they would continue living “Normal” lives since they haven’t had a reason to adjust things As of yet. i say all that to say, I understand the pandemic has been frustrating for everyone from multiple vantage points but I wouldn’t let it start to expand into other parts of my consciousness that would make me void of having sympathy for my fellow man especially in a land I may have never been.

All you can eat Sushi is fine since it takes a lot of sushi to fill you up.

All you can eat buffet of random foods can be dangerous because you just end up eating to make yourself feel like you got your $'s worth. Nothing really stands out there. Better for the "After Church" folks and kids.

considering that this happened during a pandemic, it is quite difficult to even sympathize. the loss of life is really tragic but even more tragic is that people ignored the precautions that could have also prevented this tragedy. I guess they want to enjoy life regardless of the circumstances.

The precautions? Of telling them to move when the rocks started falling or precautions of covid? Idk what youre trying to correlate in that post.

Anything is a risk nowadays but its an outdoor thing to do atleast, masked up and you should be alright. Probably riskier to eat in a crowded restaurant than doing that.

Damn. This is Wild. I saw another video where they we’re telling them to move. It went on for a minute. There was rocks already falling before the whole thing eventually fell off. I don’t know if the people couldn’t hear them or they were being arrogant. What a tough way to go.

Tough situation.

We also don't know if they "didn't listen" to those telling them to move. Maybe they were moving as fast as they could move to get out of the way. That wouldn't have been captured on the clip though.

Only time a buffet is worth it is on a Sunday after church and its super busy in there that way the food stay fresh...otherwise the food be sitting in them pans for hours getting all hard and dry. That's why I haven't been to one since the Rona can't go be around all them people and it's worthless to go to a buffet that's not busy I need my isht fresh

We used to go to an all-you-can-eat buffet years ago. we only stopped going to such places when the quality of the food just went south. had me thinking of whether we got our money's worth or guilty indulgence and getting yourself a painful indigestion. nowadays, we prefer quality over quantity. we don't care if we eat less but rather have a really delicious meal. I also became so particular with which places to eat sushi from. bad sushi can get you ending up in the hospital due to food poisoning.

anyways, this was what I had a few days ago. never knew it was a big serving but worth it. finished all of it by myself.

I used to love buffets with Chinese food cause when I was younger the protein would always run out first when we'd eat it as a family or I'd get it myself from the mall and they'd be stingy with it.

It was a dream to build a plate that had more General Tso chicken on it than rice. I'd pay for it later though (ain't talking about money if you know what I am saying). I also need to hit Nobu at some point, I love Asian food
