Quick story/rant TAN fam
I was out doing some community service the other day, helping mulch trees on Atlanta's Westside. Towards the end of the "day," myself, another guy from my college's alumni association, and another guy (white) were discussing some ways to economically invigorate the area, just brainstorming, throwing ideas out. I had to mention the guy's race, because what happened next really displays a disconnect between white/black relations, and people relations in general. As we were walking back up the street to leave, this girl yells across the street EXCUSE ME SIR (3x), white dude looks over ignores her and keeps walking. I keep walking a few steps and then yell over "wassup." She asked what we were doing and told her what we were doing, mulching trees. She said, "oh ok" and kept walking. White dude ignored her like she had the plague or something.
I told my mans, that's a reason **** don't change. We don't treat PEOPLE like PEOPLE. All she was asking was simple question and even if shawty was asking for money all you have to do is politely decline.
**** has been on my mind for the last couple days.
